Day 1 UK - Nussdorf
Today you will fly to Munich. On arrival we'll transfer you to your hotel located near the shore of Lake Attersee.
Day 2 Bad Ischl & Traunsee Schlosser AdventAfter breakfast we’ll head to Bad Ischl. The health resort of Bad Ischl is located at the heart of the Salzkammergut region, surrounded by the rivers Traun and Ischl. In the 19th century, this charming town became a fashionable spa resort with Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria choosing the town for his summer residence. Enjoy some time at your leisure exploring this romantic village - don´t forget to find some time to try Zaunerstollen. This harmonic blend of nougat grillage with wafers, hazelnuts and chocolate is a delicious confectionary masterpiece. We’ll continue to the Traunsee Schlösser Advent. Known as the ‘Advent in Castles’, this event has the stunning backdrop of two spectacular castles and was voted the best Christmas Market in Upper Austria in 2018. We’ll visit the Christmas market in the historic walls before taking a boat to the town of Gmunden. Here, we’ll visit the ceramic manufactory of Gmunden and stroll through the little, romantic roads before returning by little train to the Schlösser Advent. Later, we’ll return to the hotel for dinner. Meals included: B,D
Day 3 Salzburg & Silent Night performanceToday we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Salzburg´s Altstadt, the historic city centre characterised by several stunning churches. There will be some free time for you to explore the Christmas markets at your own pace and perhaps pick up a last-minute Christmas gift.
In the afternoon we’ll head to the spiritual centre of Christmas. The Silent Night chapel in Oberndorf, this is where the carol ‘Silent Night’ was heard for the first time on Christmas Eve in 1818. Today, the Silent-Night-Memorial-Chapel stands on the original site of St. Nikolaus Church. Enjoy a tour through the chapel and listen to a little Silent Night performance from local musicians! After this touching visit we’ll return to our hotel for dinner.

Day 4 St Wolfgang, Hallstatt & Krampus RunToday we’ll get to know the beauty of the Salzkammergut where we’ll head to St. Wolfgang to witness its incredible Advent scenery – a truly unforgettable experience. During a visit to a local bakery, the artisanal production of gingerbread will be explained and you’ll be guided through the bakery. Not only will you get to taste the specialties, but you’ll decorate your own gingerbread. We’ll continue on to Hallstatt - a picture-perfect lake-side town overlooked by a breathtaking mountain scenery. You’ll have some free time to explore and enjoy these fairy-tale views.
After this unforgettable visit, we’ll dine in a local restaurant before its time to join the highlight of this tour - the Krampus Run! This traditional event where people in horned masks and elaborate costumes parade through the streets ringing ominous bells. According to legend, the Krampus, a half-goat, half-demon figure, is the scary opposite of Saint Nicholas. While Saint Nicholas rewards children who have been good, Krampus punishes naughty children.
