The Oodles of Noodles Project

STREETS International is a social enterprise in Vietnam that offers a professional-level hospitality and culinary training program for at-risk adolescents, empowering them to shape a brighter future for themselves and their families. Oodles of Noodles helps them practice skills such as English language proficiency and presentation skills, critical for success in the hospitality industry - many youth have gone on to work at large five star hotels in neighbouring cities.

During our tour, Discover Vietnam, we offer a fantastic excursion to this project. You will be able to join a noodle-making class with some of the trainees, and you'll get to try some amazing noodles in the process too!

There are an estimated 20,000 children living on the streets across Vietnam and this number appears to be growing. This problem is intensified by the lack of strong and effective child protection systems, professional social workers, and adequate programming and services for vulnerable children. Planeterra partnered with STREETS International to create an exclusive Oodles of Noodles Tour and expand their training kitchen. They now receive a constant stream of travellers, which allows them to support their initiatives, impacting the lives of more youth in Vietnam.
