Day 5 Shakespeare's Verona
After breakfast we will depart from the hotel to the UNESCO world-heritage listed city of Verona where Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers are remembered. A city full of history, culture and remarkably preserved architecture reflecting over 2000 years of cultural influence. Upon arrival in Verona we will take a guided visit to one of the most famous sights in the city, Juliet's Balcony, after this we will visit one of Italy's best-preserved Roman amphitheatre, and the third largest surviving amphitheatre in Europe. You will then have some free time to explore the city, perhaps take a visit to the perfectly preserved Roman Mercato Vecchio, the commercial centre in the Middle age where souvenirs are still sold, or take a visit to the Scaliger tombs where the Scala family rest within impressive Gothic architecture. Upon returning back to the hotel a Spritz Experience is included before enjoying dinner.
