Tour Overview

Explore a trio of fascinating cities, each with their own charms and history. We start our journey in Prague where we’ll discover the city's gothic spires and baroque facades on a guided walking tour, with time for a wine tasting and views from the Castle District. With free time in Prague, you can explore at your own pace or venture into the Czech spa region, taking in Karlovy Vary's healing springs with a tasting at the Pilsner Urquell Brewery.

We then travel through the dramatic landscapes of Saxon Switzerland to Dresden, where baroque architecture and landmarks stand proud, alongside a visit to Moritzburg Castle and the Meissen Porcelain Museum. Finally, we arrive in the historic city of Berlin, filled with cultural diversity and a layered history from imperial grandeur to modern reinvention. We take in the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag and Museum Island, before a final day exploring the city at your own pace, followed by a farewell dinner inside the iconic Berlin TV Tower.

Prague

Day 1 UK - Prague

Today, we'll fly to Prague, where we'll get to know our fellow travellers over a welcome drink and dinner this evening.

Day 2 Prague

After a hearty breakfast we'll set out on a guided tour of Prague's iconic historic centre. On our walking tour we'll see all of the sights and immerse ourselves in the gothic architecture and baroque facades, revealing the city's rich past and traditions found hidden amongst the cobbled streets. There will be time at leisure for lunch, before we take part in a wine tasting in the city's famous wine district. Later, we'll visit the Castle District to take time to appreciate the impressive panoramic views over the city. We'll eat dinner in a local restaurant together this evening.

Prague

Day 3 Prague - at Leisure

Today you can enjoy a day at leisure in Prague to explore at your own pace, or join an optional excursion to the Czech spa region. We'll begin with a scenic drive through the Bohemian landscape to Karlovy Vary, famous for its healing springs. There'll be a guided visit to the Imperial Spa followed by free time for lunch. Following a cable car ride offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills, our journey will continue to Marianske Lazne where we'll have time to explore this peaceful spa town. Later, we focus on one of the proudest traditions of Czechia, Plzen. The historic Pilsner Urquell Brewery will provide us with an insight into the brewing process and our visit will end with a tasting. We'll then return to Prague in the evening.

Dresden

Day 4 Prague - Dresden

Today we leave Prague behind and make our way through the dramatic landscape of the Saxon Switzerland National Park. The towering sandstone formations and forested valleys create striking natural landscapes as we travel to Dresden. On arrival we'll have a guided tour of the city where we'll learn its fascinating story of resilience, destruction and restoration, with its cultural landmarks and baroque artistry. A walk through the city will paint a journey through centuries of art and culture. After this tour your evening can be spent at at leisure or you can take part in this evening's optional excursion to Dresden's Zwinger Palace where you can enjoy the works of Vivaldi, Mozart and Strauss, performed by the Dresdner Residenz Orchestra. The excursion includes dinner.

Day 5 Dresden - Berlin

Today begins with a visit to the fairytale Moritzburg Castle, set in a stunning location surrounded by woodland and lakes. We then continue on to Meissen, where a visit to the renowned Meissen Porcelain Museum displays centuries-old craftsmanship, displaying the story of Europe's oldest porcelain manufacturer. In the afternoon we'll make our way to Berlin and on arrival we'll enjoy dinner at our hotel.

Day 6 Berlin

We'll start our day with a guided tour of Berlin where we’ll discover the fascinating story of Berlin. During the tour we'll experience some of the most iconic landmarks of the city, including the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Unter den Linden, Museum Island and the remnants of the Berlin Wall. After our tour, the rest of the day is either at leisure or you can choose to take part in today's optional excursion to Tempelhof Airport. Considered the largest architectural monument in Europe, this airport played an important role in the history of Germany throughout the 20th century.

Day 7 Berlin - at Leisure

Today you can spend the day exploring the German capital at your own pace. Perhaps explore the famous Markthalle Neun to taste food from across the globe, all under one roof or spend your time exploring the many museums in the city. Later on this evening, we'll come together to share memories of our tour with a special farewell dinner inside the famous Berlin TV Tower, which offers a 360 view over the city.

After breakfast this morning we'll transfer back to the airport for our flight back to the UK.

Deposit information

When you book a holiday, you will be asked to pay a deposit, this will be made clear at the time of booking. In most cases we will charge the following deposit amount;

  • UK Holidays - £150 per person
  • European Holidays - £200 per person
  • Worldwide Holidays - £400 per person
  • Ocean and River Cruise - £400 per person


On some holidays we may charge a slightly higher deposit, to cover any costs we have to pay immediately to secure your booking with our suppliers. This will be made clear at the time of booking.

If you choose a tour that is within 84 days of departure you will need to pay the full balance when you book.

Our cancellation policy

If you decide to cancel your confirmed booking you must notify us (or your travel agent) in writing, as soon as possible. Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below.

  • More than 75 days before departure - Loss of deposit only
  • 43 - 74 days - 50% of tour price
  • 29 - 42 days - 75% of tour price
  • 15 - 28 days - 90% of tour price
  • Day of Departure - 14 days - 100% of tour price
