ELAFITI ISLANDS
A short ferry ride from Dubrovnik, the Elafiti Islands promise clear, shimmering water, car-free lanes and a slower, more peaceful pace. Sandy coves are rare in Dalmatia, but you’ll find them here, perfect for a leisurely swim and a lazy afternoon by the sea.
Lopud is one of the three main Elafiti Islands, alongside Šipan and Koločep, a small archipelago scattered just off the coast of Dubrovnik.
Lopud’s waterfront town is a pleasure to explore, lined with seafront cafés and historic stone houses. You could also visit the peaceful Franciscan monastery, where you’ll find expansive views and cool courtyards that are perfect for a quiet break. If time allows, you could walk to Šunj Bay and its wide sandy beach.
On Šipan, you’ll see charming Renaissance villas tucked amongst citrus and olive groves, and the island’s calm coves are ideal for swimming or shoreline strolls.
Breathe in the Elafiti Islands’ herb-scented breezes and unhurried rhythm on Just You’s Deluxe Dubrovnik & The Dalmatian Coast escorted tour.
