You’ll fly to Windhoek via Johannesburg, arriving on day 2.

Windhoek is a surprisingly modern, cosmopolitan city where German-style buildings tell stories of Namibia’s early colonial history. This evening, we’ll get to know each other better over dinner.
The Sossusvlei area sits in the heart of Namibia. As we head here today we’ll see incredible scenery including towering red dunes and parched landscapes. After some time to freshen up in the lodge, we’ll embark on a drive to the petrified dunes, ancient red sand dunes that have solidified to rock.

On day 4 we discover more of the unique landscape of Sossusvlei in the company of a tour guide. We will rise early to enjoy a scenic drive into the heart of Sossusvlei. Here we’ll admire the deep red tones of this dramatic landscape that has been shaped by the elements over millions of years as the sun rises above the soaring dunes. We will climb some of the highest sand dunes on earth, a real once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Sesriem Canyon was formed two million years ago by the Tsauchab River and plunges deep into the parched earth. We’ll take in this memorable sight before returning to the lodge, where the afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps gather with some of your fellow travellers, relax by one of two swimming pools and enjoy the spectacular views.
The coastal area of Namibia awaits our discovery today. We drive via the Kuiseb and Gaub Passes to Swakopmund, where we’ll stay for the next two nights. The Moon Landscape is a fascinating area where the eroded remains of a mountain range create an incredible sight. Explore this unique landscape, a hit with the film industry, and see one of the world’s biggest Welwitschia Mirabilis plants.

Tonight we gather for dinner at the Jetty 1905 Restaurant, in Swakopmund, from where you can enjoy beautiful views over the Atlantic Ocean while you eat.

Day 6 is free to you to spend relaxing or exploring at your own pace. Alternatively, why not join our optional dolphin and seal catamaran cruise – sure to be a truly memorable experience. We also offer an optional tour of the city, including some of its fascinating townships, where you can get a real flavour of the local cultures.

Dinner tonight is at another local eaterie, the Tug Restaurant, located on the seafront and serving delicious seafood.
Today we head north to the Damaraland area, where we can spend the rest of the day relaxing. Take advantage of your lodge’s facilities which include a viewing point from which you can admire your beautiful surroundings. This is also an ideal place for star gazing, which you may choose to experience during your time here.

This evening we’ll gather for a meal made using fresh ingredients from the lodge’s gardens.

The Twyfelfontein area is rich in fascinating geology and culture, which we discover on day 8. Highlights include the petrified forest, a collection of fossilised trees that exist within an old river channel, as well as ancient rock carvings and the Damara Living Museum, where you’ll learn about some of Namibia’s oldest inhabitants. Discover a Damara village, watch traditional performances and perhaps even buy hand-crafted jewellery during your visit.

We will return to the lodge and spend the afternoon at leisure. Perhaps spend some time by the pool before enjoying another delicious meal here.
The Etosha National Park is a vast game reserve which hosts an incredible array of mammals, reptiles and birds. We head here on day 9, making a stop for lunch at Outjo on the way before experiencing our first game drive this afternoon. We are one of the few tour operators to include game drives in 4x4 safari vehicles within Etosha National Park, so you will have great views of the wildlife that inhabits the park, including endangered species such as black rhinos. This evening at the lodge we’ll enjoy a drink on the idyllic deck before gathering for dinner.

On day 10, we’ll board 4x4 safari vehicles for a full-day game drive in the park, with plenty of chances to tick more fascinating wildlife off the list. We’ll return to the lodge for dinner together this evening.
This morning we’ll head to the eastern border of the Etosha National Park, where our next lodge is situated. On the way, there will be even more opportunities to watch the animals as they gather around the waterholes and roam freely around the park – incredible sights that you’ll surely never forget. Once we have arrived, the rest of the day is free for you to relax. Enjoy dinner at the lodge this evening.
We return to Windhoek today, where you can relax and take advantage of your hotel’s facilities. Perhaps enjoy an ice-cold Nambian beer in the bar or a snack on the patio and reflect on your wonderful experiences.
You’ll transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK via Johannesburg on day 13, arriving on day 14.

Please note: We want you to get the most from your holiday with us so please be advised that this tour is not suitable for anyone with limited mobility.

Dolphin and Seal Catamaran Cruise

Dolphin and Seal Catamaran Cruise

from £36

Depart Walvis Bay Yacht Club and head out into the beautiful bay area, which holds more splendour than can at first be seen – a shipwreck, lighthouse, oyster platforms, different bird species, seals and an abundance of marine life. In the bay area, the catamaran will move alongside the oyster platforms and your guide will share more information with you about locally cultivated Walvis Bay oysters – a tasting is included. Proceed to the Pelican Point to achieve a closer look at the lighthouse. It is here that you will hopefully see three different types of dolphins, namely the heaviside dolphins – endemic to the Namibian coast, dusky dolphins and Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. In season (July-November), the larger mammals like the southern right whale and the humpback whales may be spotted and with a bit of extra luck, the mighty killer whales (orcas) might make an appearance. All this can be experienced while comfortably relaxing in the saloon or on the deck whilst enjoying a glass of sparkling wine and delicious snacks.

Swakopmund Township Tour

Swakopmund Township Tour

from £27

Drive out to Mondesa Township and enjoy a brief history of the township. Stroll down OB street and get a fascinating glimpse into a typically Namibian township with the opportunity to chat to local residents and view typical homes and schools. Drive through to the Democratic Resettlement Community where the housing projects will be explained to you and how the Swakopmund Municipality is improving the area. A visit will also be made to Augusta Ochurus who will share her knowledge of the Nama culture and herbal medicines. Enjoy a drink at a ‘Shebeen’ – an African bar and indulge in some unusual, yet typical African delicacies at a local restaurant before heading back to Swakopmund Town where the tours ends.
