Gli AROMI Herb Farm

As part of our Sicily adventure, you’ll be able to spend time at Gil AROMI on day 2 of your Secret Sicily tour.

From over 20 years "gli AROMI" deals with the production and marketing of officinal plants and aromatic herbs, focusing on endemic species of the Sicilian coast and in particular of the iblea area. The firm produces more than 150 different varieties using traditional methods. At the firm are organized real fragrance journey, tastings and tours for the customers. Besides the sale in vase, we propose fresh packed aromas for high cookery. We shoot for to increase the product range, obtaining quality and excellence of the spices already produced, and also suggest guide tours for visitors. The tour includes a ride in the firm illustrating all the varieties of the herbs and possible using.

Some come to Gli Aromi out of curiosity, others to feel good. Everyone realizes that here, nature isn't dead like in the gloomy paintings of the 17th century. Rather, it's a living, luminous, fragrant material, at the center of a canvas that tells the story of the Mediterranean. Among hundreds of aromatic plants, you learn to smell, look, touch, listen, and taste. A guided journey that fully immerses you, engaging all five senses, plus one: that of well-being.

AROMI (flavors) are rooted in just three words: Cultura (culture), Coltura (cultivation), Coking (cooking). And it's easy to play with them: just change the letter and the sound and meaning change. Three words that for Enrico are the ironic and real manifesto of this "non-place": knowledge of plants drives their cultivation; cultivation inspires and fuels cooking and baking; cooking is the most fun way to get to know a land, its aromas, its territory.
