Day 1 UK - Vienna

Make your way to the airport for your flight to Vienna. On arrival transfer to your hotel, check in and enjoy a festive welcome drink with your fellow travellers, before this evening's dinner. Meals included: D

Day 2 Christmas Eve, Vienna

After breakfast start the day with a guided city tour of Vienna by foot and by coach. The tour will finish in the Schönbrunn Palace area, here there’ll be opportunity to learn how to bake the Austrian classic ‘Apfelstrudel’ before indulging in a freshly baked slice. Afterwards you will enjoy a guided tour through the Schönbrunn Palace and before taking in the beauty of the Christmas market directly in front of the Palace. Later enjoy dinner with the group. Vienna

Day 3 Christmas Day, Vienna

Following breakfast, you’re welcome to join your Holiday Director on a walk, where the streets will be quieter than usual. This afternoon you are free to enjoy some mulled wine and the Christmas markets, before dinner this evening. Meals included: B,D
Melk Abbey

Day 4 Boxing Day, Melk Abbey

This morning we will drive to Melk Abbey for a guided tour, there will be free time to walk down into the town towards the Danube for a fantastic view of the Abbey from below. On the way back will you stop in the wine district of Vienna city. Here you will taste the local specialty, Eiswein, known for its sweetness and special production. After the tasting continue back towards Vienna, the evening will be finished with a typical Heurigen evening with dinner accompanied by wine. Meals included: B,D

Day 5 Vienna - Free Time

Today is a day at leisure to enjoy Vienna at your own pace. Are there museums or galleries you’d love to visit, perhaps you would like to try some food at the nearby Naschmarkt or visit even more Christmas Markets, the choice is yours.

This evening, we will gather together and finish the day with a farewell dinner. Tonight, after dinner, you can choose to join the optional excursion of a classical concert, the perfect finish to an already excellent trip to Vienna.

Your final breakfast this morning before we transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK. Meals included: B

Deposit information

When you book a holiday, you will be asked to pay a deposit, this will be made clear at the time of booking. In most cases we will charge the following deposit amount;

  • UK Holidays - £150 per person
  • European Holidays - £200 per person
  • Worldwide Holidays - £400 per person
  • Ocean and River Cruise - £400 per person


On some holidays we may charge a slightly higher deposit, to cover any costs we have to pay immediately to secure your booking with our suppliers. This will be made clear at the time of booking.

If you choose a tour that is within 84 days of departure you will need to pay the full balance when you book.

Our cancellation policy

If you decide to cancel your confirmed booking you must notify us (or your travel agent) in writing, as soon as possible. Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below.

  • More than 75 days before departure - Loss of deposit only
  • 43 - 74 days - 50% of tour price
  • 29 - 42 days - 75% of tour price
  • 15 - 28 days - 90% of tour price
  • Day of Departure - 14 days - 100% of tour price
