Day 1 Harrogate

Make your own way to your hotel in Harrogate. Check in and enjoy a welcome tea or coffee and mince pies. Settle into your surroundings before joining your fellow travelers for a welcome drink and dinner.

Day 2 Christmas Eve, York

York is the ideal destination for a festive day trip, and that's what we've got lined up today. The city's historic core is a fantastically well-preserved relic of medieval design, with its crown jewel being the sprawling York Minster Cathedral. After a guided tour of all the key sights, you'll have some time to yourself to get some lunch and explore the ancient streets – many of them decked out in their Christmas finery. Later, we'll gather once again to enjoy dinner at the hotel. Meals included: B,D
Christmas day celebrations

Day 3 Christmas Day, Harrogate

Festive spirit will be in abundance today, as we enjoy a wonderful Christmas lunch together at the hotel. Afterwards you can simply relax and enjoy your surroundings, or perhaps choose to walk into the Victorian heart of Harrogate. In the evening, we'll all meet up again for a light meal. Meals included: B,L,D
Boxing day

Day 4 Boxing Day, Wetherby Races

After a leisurely breakfast and some free time in the morning, thrills and spills will be on the agenda today, as we head off to the traditional market town of Wetherby for an afternoon at the races. You might fancy a flutter, or just want to pick a favourite to cheer on – either way, the atmosphere will be electric as we watch the incredible horses and riders take on the course.
Afterwards, we'll head back to the hotel, where we'll share our farewell meal together. Meals included: B,D

Day 5 Harrogate

Enjoy breakfast for the last time before saying goodbye, checking out and heading home.

Deposit information

When you book a holiday, you will be asked to pay a deposit, this will be made clear at the time of booking. In most cases we will charge the following deposit amount;

  • UK Holidays - £150 per person
  • European Holidays - £200 per person
  • Worldwide Holidays - £400 per person
  • Ocean and River Cruise - £400 per person


On some holidays we may charge a slightly higher deposit, to cover any costs we have to pay immediately to secure your booking with our suppliers. This will be made clear at the time of booking.

If you choose a tour that is within 84 days of departure you will need to pay the full balance when you book.

Our cancellation policy

If you decide to cancel your confirmed booking you must notify us (or your travel agent) in writing, as soon as possible. Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below.

  • More than 75 days before departure - Loss of deposit only
  • 43 - 74 days - 50% of tour price
  • 29 - 42 days - 75% of tour price
  • 15 - 28 days - 90% of tour price
  • Day of Departure - 14 days - 100% of tour price
