Day 1 UK - Entebbe

Today, you fly to Entebbe.

Day 2 Entebbe

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after finalizing the formalities, you shall be welcomed by your guide, who will then drive you to your hotel. Later in the day, you will drive to Kasenyi fishing village, here, you will have a walk into the Fishing community and market, learn about the different fish types caught and, boat making. Entebbe - Murchison Falls

Day 3 Entebbe - Murchison Falls

After breakfast, you'll catch your first glimpse of Uganda's wonderful wildlife with a drive through Kampala to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. We will set off on a walking safari to spot rare southern white rhino, which have recently been re-introduced to the country.
In the afternoon, we'll travel on to Murchison Falls National Park, a region that's awash with dense rainforest and rolling savannah and has the Nile River flowing majestically through it. And, of course, the dramatic, cascading Murchison Falls at its heart.

Day 4 Murchison Falls

See more of the region's amazing animals on a morning game drive that takes you across savannah, through Borassus palm forest and down to Lake Albert, one of Africa's Great Lakes. Along the way, we'll spot all manner of spectacular species, from the Big Five to various native birds and reptiles.
Later in the day, you'll get to experience the National Park from the water as we take a boat ride up the Nile to Murchison Falls. View the impressive cascades from below, including watching huge Nile crocodiles basking in the pools.

Murchison Falls-Fort Portal-Kibale National Park

Day 5 Murchison Falls-Fort Portal-Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart for Kibale National Park. The Journey will take you through the Western Rift Valley’s Albertine Escarpment as well as the green country side and traditional homesteads of the local people with in the Bunyoro and Toro Kingdoms. Upon arriving in Fort portal, clear days will give you a glimpse of the legendary snowcapped Mountain also famously known as the “Mountains of the Moon” (Mt Rwenzori). Kibale Forest National Park is a home to 13 primate species including the common Mans’ closest Cousins (Chimpanzees). You will pass by the tea plantations as well. The Forest is also a home to over 325 bird species including the rare Green Breasted Pitta. Arrive at your Lodge for the overnight. Meals included: B,L,D
Chimpanzee Tracking

Day 6 Chimpanzee Tracking

Lush rainforest covers a massive amount of Kibale National Park, making it the ideal habitat for 13 different species of primate. Today, you'll get to see some of these playful animals first-hand during a chimpanzee-tracking experience led by a knowledgeable expert.
After this unforgettable experience we'll be hosted for a Toora lunch at Tinka's homestay – a humble Ugandan who is delighted to share his culture and tradition with us. This afternoon we will have a guided walk of the Bigodi swamps before heading to the Fort Portal markets to have a taste of local living and see the fresh ingredients used by Tinka himself.

Drive to Emburara Farm Lodge

Day 7 Drive to Emburara Farm Lodge

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to Mbarara to Emburara Farm Lodge which is a 27-suite boutique property set on a cattle farm in Mbarara, Ankole, in Western Uganda. It overlooks undulating landscapes and lush greenery. With a striking high ceilinged lobby leading out to expansive terraces, Emburara Farm Lodge is lavishly spacious. Suites are bright and airy with interiors inspired by classic nomadic lifestyle. Opened in 2018, the property is located between Lake Mburo, Kibale and Queen Elizabeth National Parks and the Impenetrable forest of Bwindi. You will arrive in time for an evening Farm experience that involves lighting fire for the cattle, you will have a briefing about the farm, naming of the cows, and you will also be taken to the crawl house to see how it looks like and get a view of an African crawl house and what is done there, you will have a perfect ending to your evening with a spectacular campfire and traditional dance & music performances.

Drive to Bwindi National Park

Day 8 Drive to Bwindi National Park

You will have a morning milking experience, take part in the milking process thereafter you will take the milk to the crawl house and be shown how the milk is kept and preserved in traditional pots. You will be briefed on the use of each pot and item in the house and its significance to the Banyankole culture.Thereafter you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. This fascinating mountain forest hosts chimpanzees and spectacular birds. There are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including Blue-throated Broadbill, bar-tailed Trogon and other beautiful forest species. You shall go to bed earlier this evening, since you should be fit for gorilla trekking the next day Meals included: B,L,D
Gorilla Trekking, drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Day 9 Gorilla Trekking, drive to Lake Bunyonyi

This morning you will get up early and go for gorilla trekking. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. Afterwards you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Meals included: B,L,D

Day 10 at Leisure - Lake Bunyonyi

Today you will spend a day at leisure, late in the day you will take a boat ride to the Islands on Lake Bunyoyi

Drive to Lake Mburo National Park

Day 11 Drive to Lake Mburo National Park

Today, drive to Lake Mburo National Park, where impalas and zebras will welcome you at the park entrance. Take a thrilling game drive to explore the park's diverse wildlife and habitat with rocks, dry slopes, savannahs, forests and swamps. Lake Mburo National Park is a birdwatcher's paradise, with 313 recorded bird species, including the redfaced barbet, long-tailed cormorant, zitting cisticola and many more. You will have a boat ride on the lake. The Lake attracts various species of birds’ species including flame head Barbet, Long-tailed Zitting Cisticola (Tabora), White backed Night Heroin, Red faced barbet, Cocqui Francolin, Red billed Wood Hoopoe, Emarald spotted wood dove, papyrus Gonolek, Rufous bellied Heron, white winged warble among others Meals included: B,L,D
Lake Mburo - Entebbe

Day 12 Lake Mburo - Entebbe

You will get up early in the morning for an exciting game drive, and Nature Walk, then return to the hotel for a hearty breakfast and drive to Entebbe for an overnight.

Additional Information

Due to the gorilla permits for this tour needing immediate payment, once your booking is confirmed, your deposit is non-refundable. We also need copies of your passport as soon as possible to book the permits.   This tour is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or who has concerns with their mobility. The treks to the gorillas can be difficult and take several hours, the trek can last 6 hours.   Please note that under current FCO advice you will need a Yellow Fever Vaccination & Certificate in order to enter Uganda.

Deposit information

When you book a holiday, you will be asked to pay a deposit, this will be made clear at the time of booking. In most cases we will charge the following deposit amount;

  • UK Holidays - £150 per person
  • European Holidays - £200 per person
  • Worldwide Holidays - £400 per person
  • Ocean and River Cruise - £400 per person


On some holidays we may charge a slightly higher deposit, to cover any costs we have to pay immediately to secure your booking with our suppliers. This will be made clear at the time of booking.

If you choose a tour that is within 84 days of departure you will need to pay the full balance when you book.

Our cancellation policy

If you decide to cancel your confirmed booking you must notify us (or your travel agent) in writing, as soon as possible. Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below.

  • More than 75 days before departure - Loss of deposit only
  • 43 - 74 days - 50% of tour price
  • 29 - 42 days - 75% of tour price
  • 15 - 28 days - 90% of tour price
  • Day of Departure - 14 days - 100% of tour price
