The Food

"What a daily treat!! Every time we sat down for a meal - it was a lavish affair of up to 11 courses - starting with warming noodle soups (our favourite being the broth Pho - pronounced Fuh) that seemed to be miraculously comforting and yet refreshing at the same time, followed by the most wonderful salads with light Asian dressing, various meats, fish and rice dishes, and I'm delighted to say, always a cheeky spring roll. And what's more - we also had a go at cooking some of the dishes and making noodles - great fun!"

Halong Bay

"Visiting Halong Bay had long been on my bucket list and I was not disappointed. It was absolutely spectacular - the mysterious rocks rising up out of the water. We were lucky enough to kayak around the bay where we stopped and we felt like we were on a movie set. And to finish the day with a glorious sunset on the boat - my favourite pinch-me moment of the holiday." 

Hoi An 

"Such a special place. Wandering around in the daytime on the walking tour was a brilliant opportunity to get some treats for the family back home - but at night - the place really comes alive. The colourful glow of the thousands of lanterns make it one of the most beautiful and atmospheric places I have ever been to. And then to add to our delight - we got to make our own lantern in a workshop!!"
