​Alaska is blessed with extraordinary beauty, as you'll discover on this fabulous tour. Beginning in the city of Anchorage, we'll head south to admire the spectacular Kenai Fjords National Park and then search for wildlife in the serene wilderness of Denali National Park. At Wrangell St Elias National Park, we'll learn about the native Athna people of the Copper River Valley and then in Valdez, we'll cruise past breathtaking glaciers on the stunning Prince William Sound. A scenic drive back to Anchorage, through the Matanuska-Susitna Valley completes this magnificent journey.

Day 1 UK - Anchorage

​Today you'll fly to Anchorage. On arrival we will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2 Anchorage

Surrounded by mountains and set in a fabulous location at the head of Cook Inlet, Anchorage offers all the amenities of any modern US city. It was founded as a railroad construction camp in 1915 and we'll discover its highlights on a tour. We'll explore the historic downtown area, try to spot salmon swimming in Ship Creek and visit Earthquake Park, where an entire neighbourhood slid into the ocean during an earthquake in 1964.

Get to know your travelling companions better over a welcome dinner this evening.

Day 3 Anchorage​ - Seward

​We're going to take to the road and head to Seward today. Our scenic route will take us alongside the beautiful shore of Turnagain Arm and we will make a stop to ride the aerial tram to the top of Mount Alyeska. We'll take in spectacular views of the waterway, mountains and hanging glaciers, so be sure to have your camera at the ready.

Seward is one of Alaska's oldest towns and en-route we'll visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preserving the area's wildlife. Orphaned black and brown bears, moose and lynx are just some of the species found at the centre.

Day 4 Seward

Seward is situated on the Kenai Peninsula at the head of Resurrection Bay. Today we're going to cruise through the beautiful scenery of the Kenai Fjords National Park. We'll keep our fingers crossed for wildlife sightings and enjoy a buffet lunch, with freshly-prepared salmon and prime rib on the menu!

Day 5 Seward - Talkeetna

​After breakfast, we're going to make our way to the historic mining and railway town of Talkeetna. We'll travel back along the shores of Turnagain Arm and north of Anchorage through the fertile Matanuska-Susitna Valley. The streets of Talkeetna are lined with log cabins and timber-clad houses and the town is known for its thriving arts community. After settling in at the hotel, you may wish to visit some of its galleries in the company of your travelling companions.

Day 6 Talkeetna​ - Denali National Park

​We will enjoy fantastic views today as we travel towards our next destination, Denali National Park. Look out for wildlife, such as bears and beavers, as we head to our cabins near the park's entrance.

Day 7 Denali National Park

​Moose, Dall sheep, wolves, bears and caribou all make their home in Denali National Park and we're going in search of them on today's Tundra Wilderness Tour. We'll set off early and travel deep into the national park on an unforgettable narrated adventure. We'll soak up the park's incredible scenery and may even get to see Denali, the tallest peak in North America at more than 6,100 metres above sea level. A boxed lunch is included today.

Day 8 Denali National Park​ - Copper Center

​Today we leave Denail and make our way to Copper Center, the gateway to Wrangell St Elias, America's largest national park. On arrival this afternoon, we’ll head to the the visitor centre to learn about the history of the park and surrounding area - home of the native Athna people. We'll then get a glimpse of the region's stunning scenery when a Local Guide takes us on a short hike to admire views of the Wrangell Mountains and the Copper River. Continuing on our way, we'll visit the Copper Center Museum, which houses artefacts including photographs, clothing and letters.

Day 9 Copper Center - at Leisure

Today you can spend time relaxing at the lodge or exploring the local area with your travelling companions. A perfect spot for a stroll is the Klutina Lake Trail, a route used by miners during the time of the Alaska gold rush.
Alternatively, you could join our optional excursion into the Wrangell St Elias National Park. It covers 20,000 square miles of spectacular mountain wilderness and is one of the least visited National Parks in the country. When copper was discovered deep inside the park, the famous Kennicott mines were developed, along with the frontier towns of McCarthy and Kennicott. When the mines closed in 1938 the towns were abandoned, and to this day Kennicott remains a ghost town. You'll step back in time and experience this legacy of Alaska's mining era on a scenic flight to McCarthy, which is followed by a tour of Kennicott ghost town and lunch at a nearby lodge.

Day 10 Copper Center - Valdez​​

​​Our adventure continues today as we travel to Valdez, a city on the shores of Prince William Sound. Our journey takes us along Alaska's oldest highway, the Richardson, past lush farms and magnificent mountains. This evening is yours to do just as you please, you could perhaps head out and explore the harbour with your fellow travellers.

Day 11 Valdez

​Prince William Sound is prized for its stunning coastal scenery, tidewater glaciers and abundance of wildlife, both in and out of the water. We'll explore its beauty on a cruise today, so keep your eyes peeled for sea lions, puffins, seals, eagles, otters, bears and even whales. We will sail past impressive hanging glaciers and forest-covered mountains and stop at the huge, rapidly retreating Columbia Glacier. If we're lucky, we may see it calving, when chunks of ice break off and crash into the water. Lunch is included today.

Day 12 Valdez​​ - Anchorage

After an early breakfast, we will make our way back to Anchorage, driving along the Glenn Highway, which is recognised as a National Scenic Byway. It runs alongside the Matanuska-Susitna Valley and we'll enjoy breathtaking views of huge glaciers, towering mountains and scenic river valleys.

Inlet Tower Hotel & Suites

Hotel Intel is located in Downtown Anchorage, this hotel is 0.3 minutes away from Delaney Park and 1.5 minutes away from Sullivan arena. Dena'ina civic and convention centre and Oscar Anderson House museum are also within 15 minutes away. Hotel amenities include a restaurant, a fitness centre, bar/lounge, complementary Wi-Fi, business centre, meeting rooms and dry cleaning are on-site. Seward Windsong Lodge

Windsong Lodge - Set in a huge glacier valley, the Windsong Lodge benefits from a peaceful wooded location with vibrant wildflowers and the rushing Resurrection River nearby. With accommodation set out in the style of wooden log cabins, guest rooms feature en-suite, hair dryer, coffee maker, flat screen tv with movies, and complimentary wi-fi. The Lodge itself has a lounge, restaurant with views of the river, and gift shop featuring local art works.

Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge

Located on a ridge above the small village of Talkeetna on the south side of Denali with beautiful scenic views of Alaska Range. The lodges facilities include Base Camp Bistro & Lounge, Foraker Restaurant, Tokosha Coffee & Gift shop.

Denali cabins

Denali Cabins are located in the vibrant landscapes of Denali National Park, the perfect base for Denali adventures. On site there is a gift shop for the perfect souvenir, and a restaurant offering classic favourites with an Alaskan twist. Cabins are a Alaskan traditions, and here tthey are well appointed with blackout curtains.

Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge

Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge – The Lodge known as a true wilderness retreat has a designed focal point, climb the stairs to the mezzanine level where a two-story wall of windows means you can enjoy the majestic scenery. The restaurant also offers views, and there is a comfortable lounge as well as books and games in the lobby. Guest rooms feature en-suite, TV and hair dryer.

Best Western Valdez Harbour Inn

Most hotel facilities will include a restaurant and bar. Bedrooms feature private facilities.

Westmark Hotel

Located in Alasaka on the Alaskan boat harbour. Hotel facilities include restaurant, fitness centre, Wi-fi, Cocktail lounge and private bedroom facilities.
