Day 1 Southampton
Make your own way to Southampton today and spend the afternoon settling in at your comfortable hotel.
This evening you can get to know your travelling companions over dinner.
Day 2 Christmas Eve, New Forest
Today we'll journey into the heart of the beautiful New Forest to visit Beaulieu and its famous National Motor Museum. The former gatehouse of Beaulieu Abbey, Palace House, set in glorious grounds, has been owned by the Montagu family since 1538. You can still see the monastic origins of the building while exploring the treasures inside the house. The motor museum houses a wonderful collection of vehicles, from vintage models to legendary world record-breakers such as Bluebird and the Golden Arrow, and fascinating motoring memorabilia.
Later we'll head back to the hotel to enjoy a special dinner with entertainment.
Day 3 Christmas Day, Southampton - at Leisure
We've left the morning free for you to spend as you wish. A walk around the medieval town walls and the city's Old Town will help you to work up an appetite for what is sure to be the highlight of the day, a traditional festive lunch with all the trimmings.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure before we get together this evening for a light dinner.
Day 4 Boxing Day, Winchester
We're going to explore the elegant city of Winchester on a guided tour today. We'll see King Alfred's statue and walk along the River Itchen, passing by the ancient city walls, Winchester College, Jane Austen’s House and the Cathedral Close. After the tour you will have some free time to visit the city's famous cathedral or explore with your travelling companions.
Back at the hotel, we'll gather for a final dinner.
Day 5 Southampton
After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel and make your way home.Meals included: B
