Our Ski Resorts
It’s important on a ski holiday that you are in a resort that can guarantee snow and is well known for having a great selection of ski runs. For our ski holidays we have previously chosen the resorts of Bansko in Bulgaria, Söll in Austria, Wengen in Switzerland and Corvara in the Italian Dolomites. All have their own fabulous qualities when it comes to skiing as well as offering stunning mountain scenery.
Perfect for complete beginners and anyone coming back to skiing after a few years, this holiday to one of Bulgaria’s top resorts is the complete package. Your lift pass, equipment and ski school are all included and with plenty of bars and restaurants on offer, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to après ski.
The charming resort of Söll is perfectly located in Austria’s famous SkiWelt area. Explore more than 280 kilometres of ski runs, visit neighbouring resorts and take in the spectacular mountain scenery, before heading out for night skiing on the floodlit slopes and après ski in the busy bars.
A truly classic ski destination in the heart of Switzerland’s Jungfrau ski region, the picturesque village of Wengen is set against a backdrop of spectacular mountain scenery. Ski down gentle slopes and challenging black runs, relax in mountain restaurants and sample the local après ski. Perfect for confident skiers, this holiday offers high-altitude skiing and guaranteed snow.
Located in the heart of the Italian Dolomites, Corvara is a laid-back village surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. Here you can ski the Sella Ronda circuit and explore hundreds of kilometres of pistes, before sampling delicious Italian cuisine and relaxing in an après ski bar. Who could ask for more!

After the success of Just You ski holidays in the past we decided to re-introduce skiing to our portfolio starting with a week for intermediate to advanced skiers in Wengen, Switzerland.
Wengen was the most perfect location for our NEW Just You ski week. Nestled on a plateau beneath the Jungfrau and the Eiger mountains, and reached only by train, the village was everything one expected a Swiss alpine village to be. On arrival in the little village the electric car from the hotel came to transport our luggage whilst we walked the four and a half minutes to the hotel. You soon learn that nothing is very far away in Wengen!
The Hotel Sunstar offered the perfect retreat for our week. Friendly hosts, Oliver and Katya, the hotel management team, welcomed us to the hotel with our first welcome drink of the day and it felt very much like we were being welcomed in to their 'home' and with every comfort you could wish for. The hotel came fully equipped with a swimming pool, steam bath and sauna which nearly everybody made full use of during the week.
After settling in, we had a special treat lined up. Ski hire with a difference! For those with their own equipment, they were equally welcomed by the Molitor family in the ski hire shop next door to the hotel. Rico Molitor, the son of a downhill racer regaled us with stories of his father’s ski racing history while we ate cheese fondue and drank the local Molitor beer and were fitted with skis and boots where needed. A perfect start to our week in Wengen!
Wengen offered a great variety of skiing for our week. A resort geared up to our range of intermediate to advanced skiers, the slopes were in perfect condition after the previous week’s fresh snow and blue skies for the week, we couldn't go wrong. Grindelwald offered a change of scenery mid week and for the adventurous amongst us, we headed over to Murren’s Schilthorn ski area to try our skill on the steepest black run in the region. At 75% gradient it was a challenge that even James Bond would have hesitated over!
The revolving restaurant at the summit was where On Her Majesty’s Secret Service was filmed back in the 1970s. For the brave (or foolhardy) amongst us, we tested our skill on the run. At the end, some were shaken but nobody was stirred and we even tested our ability on the Kandahar run, possibly more challenging that the Schilthorn. Some were happier on the blues and reds and they were equally well accommodated and took alternative routes and we all met up for lunch in the typical mountain restaurants for which Switzerland is famous. Of course no day would be complete without a Gluhwein (mulled wine) to end our day on the slopes. Most of us got in to the swing of Apres ski without too much hesitation!
After a day on the slopes, as is the Just You tradition, we all get together for dinner in the lovely hotel restaurant where the day's stories and experiences were swapped whilst sipping on local wine and enjoying the wonderful four course dinner. The buzz and atmosphere at dinner was always exciting and a lot of us made new friends and ski buddies on this trip. After dinner we all headed to the snug bar at the hotel for night cap before retiring for the evening to wake fresh and ready to go for the next day skiing.
The week was a resounding success and a good time was had by all. From the blues and reds of Wengen to the gentle forested pistes of Grindelwald and the challenging runs of Murren there was something for everyone in Wengen and most of the group even tried their hand on the famous Lauberhorn downhill course. It took us more than two minutes to ski it, but it was definitely worth a celebration at the end!
