Itinerary: A picturesque walking holiday in Germany’s beautiful Eifel Hills region, with accommodation in the pretty town of Altenahr, situated in one of the most scenic spots in the Ahr Valley. The steep slopes of the valley are clad in vines which produce the famous red wines of the region. Three walks are included, requiring a reasonable level of fitness and ideally some walking experience. You will also need sturdy boots or shoes, a small rucksack, waterproof, plus a hat and sunglasses.

The journey then continues by train aboard ‘The Ocean,’ via rural Quebec to Montreal, then by road to Canada’s capital, Ottawa, heading along the shores of Lake Ontario to Toronto. Following a trip to Niagara Falls, you then join

Itinerary: Starting in the bustling city of Winnipeg, the geographical centre of Canada, this remarkable tour will take you and a strictly limited number of fellow travellers to the remote city and port of Churchill and the edge of the Hudson Bay, to the ‘Polar Bear Capital of the World’. Each year in autumn, along the west shore of the Hudson Bay, polar bears congregate, waiting for the bay to freeze so they can venture out onto the ice to hunt seals. Two excursions are included by Tundra Buggy (a heated, specially designed viewing vehicle travelling on enormous tyres) to view the unforgettable sight of polar bears in their natural habitat. The tour concludes with a final three nights in Toronto where you can enjoy a city tour and visit to Niagara Falls.
