15th Mar 2012 by Just You

Travellers looking for excitement and adventure should visit the world's largest island nation and enjoy the best that Australia has to offer on a singles holiday.

Providing paradise beaches, relaxing getaways, adventures in the Outback and sophisticated urban experiences, Australia has it all and visitors will quickly find a side of Australia holidays that they love.

A sun-drenched getaway that people will not want to come back from, Australia is renowned for the simple sense of space that abounds in the country, with avid travellers able to move from climate to climate as they traverse this vast nation, with everything from tropical forests to dry deserts found in this one astonishing place.

Urban excursions are awesome

New South Wales is perhaps one of the most popular destinations for visitors to the country, with Sydney perhaps the most visited and well-known city in the area.

Sandra Chipchase, chief executive officer at Destination NSW, noted that there is always excitement to be found in Sydney, with events taking place all year round to cater for the many tastes of locals and visitors alike, ranging from October's Crave Sydney International Food Festival, to the V8 Supercar Series that is held each December.

She said: "Nothing beats New Year's Eve in Sydney with the world's most spectacular fireworks display on Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge.

"There are always exciting things happening in Sydney and regional New South Wales throughout the year - from stage shows and art exhibitions, to major music festivals, sports events and surf carnivals."

Melbourne is another great destination for anyone on a single's holiday, offering culture and relaxation for discerning travellers.

Other great holidays can be found in cities across the country, ranging from visits to the Great Barrier reef from Cairns, exciting and vibrant Perth, relaxing Adelaide, through to the surfers' paradise that is Brisbane.

Get adventurous in Australia's Outback

People planning to take a single's holiday to Australia may be interested in the many excursions to the iconic Outback, with travellers guaranteed to find something that will astound and excite them when exploring this rugged yet beautiful country.

An abundance of unique wildlife is indigenous to Australia, ranging from cuddly koalas, through to kangaroos, wallabies and dingoes, with visitors able to get close up and personal with these creatures when they get out into the great outdoors.

Uluru - perhaps better known as Ayers Rock - is another exciting destination for those with a sense of adventure. One of the most iconic images of Australia, Uluru is a tourist attraction with a difference, as it situated deep in the bush and perhaps best seen as the sun rises and the amazing ochres, reds and yellows of the ancient rock burst into life in the morning light.
