Grand Rail Journey Eastern Europe 19 Sept 09 - electricity?
Just starting to put a packing kist together.
What are the electricity supllies in the countries we visit? ie Voltage and wall sockets types. This so I can bring the right adaptors or tranformers if needed for charging my camera and phones. Thanks in anticpation. Eric. |

Grand Rail Journey Eastern Europe 19 Sept 09 - electricity?
Hi Eric
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - we've been having some problems with the website recently. Voltage won't be an issue in the four countries you are visiting. You will need two types of the European-style round 2-pin plug (CEE7/4 and CEE7/7), so I would recommend investing in a universal adaptor. You'll also be able to use this on future holidays, wherever you are in the world. I hope you get this message in time. Kind regards, Olly, your editor |

Thanks Olly,
Message missed me by minutes as I set out about that time for the get-together and overnight stay at Heathrow. I had however found the info I needed elsewhere, good old Google, and took an adaptor as you described. Thouroghly enjoyed the tour and all 'cultured out' now. Best wishes, Eric. |
