Antigua in August

Hi for sometime now I have been considering travelling on my own with JY and I have now plucked up the courage. I have decided on Antigua in August 2011. Can you tell me what the weather is like i.e. (is it Hurricane season) also has many people already booked up for this date? I have noticed that a few have been talking about June. Excited Newbee to JY.

Hi Angie
Congratulations on taking the plunge - I'm sure you won't regret it. Antigua sometimes experiences hurricanes between August and October, but certainly not every year; perhaps 2-3 times a decade. But if you're thinking of going in June that won't be an issue. June is the most popular date so far, so I would definitely go for that one.

I am going in August for the first time alone and can,t seem to find any one else going. Come join me we can take Antigua by storm ha ha

Hi, I am going in August and have posted asking if anyone else is. No answer, just seems to be you and me ha ha. I am new to this aswell

I went in June, had a great time, swimming with stingrays was great
