tour of vietnam from 08 november
Hi,
I have just booked on the tour of vietnam 8-19th november, I would love to hear from anyone else on the trip. It's my first time with Just You and feel both excited and nervous. I have never travelled on my own, but hopefully this will lead to many more trips - I love to travel!
Thumbs Up

I have been on 4 long-haul holidays with JY and each one has been most enjoyable with groups of people who have all mixed really welland there is no reason for this one to be any different, Look forward to meeting you in London.

Hi Chris.

This is my 6th J Y holiday. I'm also going to Vietnam on 8th November. Really looking forward to it. J Y are very good. No need to worry.

I'm flying from Manchester, anyone else from the North?

Thank you Tony for your post, look forward to meeting you both. I can't decide whether to book for cycling tour in hoi an and visit to My son - any thoughts? Reviews look interesting, but wonder whether rain might spoil trip. If you both fancy meeting for coffee at heathrow, I can leave my mobile number - nice to put names to faces. ###############.

RE: tour of vietnam from 08 november
Hi Chris Nice to hear from you....re the optional excursions ive already asked on another thread for opinions from previous travellers to Vietnam on this matter..if you key in "Vietnam" on the "Search" facility its the thread headed "Vietnam" dated about 10 days ago. The replies i got seemed to say that it might not be worth doing the My Son trip as it takes up nearly all of one of the days in Hoi An thus possibly leaving too little free time to have a proper look at Hoi An. In any case im sure you will be able to book the My Son trip "on the spot" if you decide to go. At present we have booked the cycle tour only.......even if its raining it sounds like it will be fun. Yes definitely up for the coffee at Heathrow but being a technophobe not sure how we exchange the mob nos. :-))

Hi Guys,

I did this trip in September. The cycle ride was one of the highlights of the holiday. We all had a laugh and you get to stop to see how the locals live. Well worth it!!

RE: tour of vietnam from 08 november
Just returned from Vietnam & Cambodia on the 18th Oct. An absolutely fantastic trip and as always still too short! The My Son tour is actually half a day with lunch back in Hoi An. As interesting as My Son was in hindsight I should have stayed in Hoi An and got the shuttle bus into the old town and spent the day there. The tour of Kuala Lumpur was not good value - we were given 20 minutes to eat our meal and you can't see much as its evening therefore dark! Enjoyed the trip up the KL tower but again time was short and we really only had 20 minutes to get up and look around. They offer a Vietnamese cookery lesson in Hoi An which was great fun-it was in a proper cookery school and has been mentioned in this months Lonely Planet.

Anything else anyone wants to know please ask!

Hope you all enjoy!

Jacqueline
