Texas and New Orleans 27th Sept
Hi, I'd like to ask the new tour leader, Larae - I hope I spelt this correctly - what she would recommend us ladies to pack - I know this probably seems trivial but, for example, I'd rather not pack evening clothes if they're not needed? A few hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Very many thanks and I'm really looking forward to the holiday!

Best wishes.

Kay

Good morning Kay,

Thanks for your post to Larae, in the event she can't answer you due to being away on a tour, I have pasted below an excerpt from some of the documentation that we post out to customers in their final information -

Climate & Clothing
Americans tend to dress casually, particularly in the warmer months. We recommend comfortable, lightweight clothing. You may also find a cardigan or pullover useful for air-conditioned buildings and transportation. Comfortable shoes are a must as there can be a lot of walking involved on some excursions.

Please note: We recommend that all customers as a precaution should carry a change of clothing in their hand

-------------------------------------------

May I also suggest you re post your question in our holiday tips section of the forum as many previous customers I'm sure will be more than happy to offer the advice,

Kindest,

Ben

Hi Ben

Many thanks for your response and advice. I'm fine with the general lightweight casual clothing but just wondered if something smarter might be needed for one or two evenings but no problem will wing it Smile

Cheers

Kay

Hi Kay,
I'm also going on this trip on 27th September and really looking forward to it! I've been to the US several times with JY but not to this area. The information Ben gave is spot on! - the Americans don't have a dress code but I like 'smart casual' for evenings. I wouldn't go for dinner in the clothes I've been wearing all day!
You're the first person I've been in contact with regarding this holiday - so it will be nice to meet up at Heathrow. I'm flying there from Manchester.

Regards, Pat
