Took the plunge today and booked my first JY holiday to America's Golden West in November. Anybody out there going on the same tour?

I'm going on this trip too and am really looking forward to it. It's my first holiday with Just You but after reading lots of the posts on this forum I am sure that I am doing the right thing. I am flying direct from Manchester.

Hello to all you lucky people going to America's Golden West in November, you will have a fantastic, wonderful time, I know this, because I did this particular tour in May this year, can't tell you the best bits, cos every day, it just gets better and better!!! but I guess if I had to choose any best bits, it would have to be the visit to Alcatraz and the flight over the Grand Canyon ~ so enjoy ~ wish I was doing it again!

Hi Janet.

Bit confused about travel arrangements, don't know about you! Received confirmation today that I will be flying from Manchester to Atlanta and then on to San Francisco. Also received message from Ben (editor) to say I will be flying from Manchester to Heathrow and getting on the flight there!!!

Hope you are still going from Manchester - apparently there's only the 2 of us flying from there!

This string of e-mails was confusing me too! My booking confirmation also shows that I am flying from Manchester to Atlanta and then on to San Francisco (which is what I wanted).

Ben - can you confirm that this is still correct. My booking reference is A250852.

If we are the only two flying from Manchester it will be a good idea to meet at the Just You rep so we can get ourselves safely through the flight transfers. I've gone through Atlanta airport quite a few times so we should be OK.

My sincerest apologies, I totally got the wrong end of the stick, you are flying direct from Manchester to Atlanta, you will need to collect your luggage and they re-check it in for your onward flight to San Francisco, I'm really sorry that I confused you, I confuse myself all the time!

It's my first Just You holiday too. I am coming from Manchester but have arranged flights to Heathrow the day before we fly.
