Hi, I am thinking of booking this trip. Never travelled alone before and a bit nervous but so so tempted, it looks great. One question - did any of you pre book the optional excursions? Not sure what to do as don't want to pre book and then find very few others have.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thankyou! Thumbs Up

RE: America's Golden West 12th November
Hi.

I too was really nervous at first, this being the first time I have travelled alone, but since I have taken the plunge and booked I am really looking forward to it!

I haven't booked any excursions yet either. Like you, don't know if anybody else will be going on them. I'm sure there'll be lots of opportunities once there to book these trips.

Let me know what you decide.

Sue

RE: America's Golden West 12th November
I was planning on pre-booking Universal Sudios and the 3 in 1 Canyon Country before I go and then booking the San Francisco Bay cruise and the Palm Springs Ariel Tramway when I'm there. I want to see as much as I can while I'm there. I'm not too bothered about the Rat Pack night in Las Vegas. I thought that I'd see what everyone else was doing that night.

Although I'm really looking forward to the holiday I still get a bit nervous as it's the first time I've travelled by myself. I think that quite a few of us will feel the same, but I bet we all come back wanting to book another Just You holiday.

Bit confused about travel arrangements, don't know about you! Received confirmation today that I will be flying from Manchester to Atlanta and then on to San Francisco. Also received message from Ben (editor) to say I will be flying from Manchester to Heathrow and getting on the flight there!!!

Hope you are still going from Manchester - apparently there's only the 2 of us flying from there!

Regards.

Hello Lynda

Just think, in 12 weeks time we'll be on our way! I've booked into the Radisson on the Sunday night as I have to travel over by train from Selby. Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi Janet,

I too am staying over at the Radisson on the Sunday night having driven up on the afternoon from Stockton-on-Tees. I see another lady is thinking of staying over - perhaps we could all meet up on the Sunday evening?

Hi Janet
I just can't wait!
I've also booked myself into the Radisson on the Sunday night. I'm travelling from Leeds and not sure about how I'll get there yet. I plan to get there no later than 5pm and really excited about the whole trip. There sounds to be some amazing people on the tour and we're all in the same boat (so to speak!)
sooooo looking forward to meeting you (all)

Hi Shell
I'm flying from Manchester on 12 November. Really excited now. I have already prebooked the Rat Pack etc. tour - I will probably never get back to that part of the world so will pack as much as I can into this trip.
looking forward to meeting you !
