Hi Annie,
There are a few threads on this subject on the community that you might like to look at, including: http://www.justyou.co.uk/forum/thread-11512.html and http://www.justyou.co.uk/forum/thread-23431.html They recommend taking £50 in Chinese yuan for the first day or two, plus sterling to change while you are in China, as the exchange rate is better. I took some Chinese Yuan and Sterling. I did use the ATM as got quite a good exchange rate. Have a great trip Liz |

Are you by any chance going from Manchester like myself is so it would be good to have someone to travel with. I would also be interested to know about how much to take and in what currency and denominations.
