Do I go for it or not?
I'm reading all the testimonals and message boards chats to make my mind up to book a singles holiday. I've not been away on my own before but am REALLY interested in the Australian holiday next year - its a place I have always wanted to visit and this tour visits all the places I specifically want to go to but also with the added bonus that you are not on a coach every day - some like some tours to OZ.I'm in my mid 30s so should really say what the ..... and go for it. I suppose really what is holding me back is I'm thinking will I be left on my own - I'm sure I wouldn't be as everyone would be in the same position and would not want to leave anyone out. Please any offers of support would be welcome.

T Powell - while I have never been to Australia, there's certainly one thing I can reassure you about. The only way you'll be left on your own is if you want to be. So 'no warries' as they say in Oz ;-)

T Powell: Like you I worry about being left on my own - even a visit to the loo and coming out finding everyone has disappeared off would scare me but I get the impression that the sort of folk who book these holidays would not let this happen. I am going to OZ in Sept - travelling on my own but staying with the "rellies" so this will be a good introduction to singleton travelling and I am 60 (but with a mind of a 40 yr old) so I hope I will be brave enough then to book a Just You holiday for 2007.
I say to you....... go for Oz. Chrissie |

Do I go for it or not?
I have travelled on my own lots of times and enjoyed the freedom this gave me. In addition have also travelled with a group on other occcasions, it all depends how sociable you want to be there is always someone who will suggest going for a drink, meal walk etc and you can choose to join in or not. All thats needed is a smile and a hello and thats it. I am of to USA with Just You in September the west coast tour. I chose to go in a group as would be hard to arrange by myself and safety in numbers etc. However some excersions I will go on and some I may not its up to me and I a am really looking froward to seeing west Coast cant wait to see the grand Canyon and have always wanted to see San Francisco. Go for it is what I say you will have a great time and especially going to Australia, all the work has been done for you you just have to enjoy it. Dont worry about age its just a number but you will regret it if you dont do it.

Do I go for it or not?
I have been on 2 Just for You holidays and have booked my 3rd today. I was worried like you but found on both holidays there was a good mix of ages and you can always find someone who wants to walk to the local shop, go out for a drink or sit in the hotel bar. The reps make sure that you are not on your own unless thats what you want. I had no doubts about booking again after my fist holiday. I say go for it I am sure you won't regret it.

can anyone tell me about the age range? I'm 36, and whilst I am very happy to mix with older age groups, the front cover of the brochure did suggest that 50+ was the target age group.

Do I go for it or not?
I have just provisionally booked Oz departing on 5 March 07. I am a young 42 and am hoping for a mixed age group. This will not be the first time I have travelled alone and, in my experience, these holidays are great fun and a chance to meet and socialise with like-minded people who you may never have met otherwise. Usually, the adventurous spirits of your fellow travellers mean that age becomes immaterial. Go for it!
