Singapore, Australia & New Zealand. Oct 5th
Good Morning Ben,

I gather that the number of people for this tour is now confirmed. I wonder if you can give a breakdown of numbers for each leg.

Regarding tour managers I believe we do not get one for Singapore but one is allocated for Australia. Does he/she continue for our New Zealand tour or another rep is allocated for New Zealand.

Will we be met by anyone in Singapore on our arrival or do we have to find our own way to the hotel?

Regards

Eric.

Good morning Eric,

Thanks very much for your post, there are 5 customers including yourself booked on this tour, you will all be visiting Singapore. As the Singapore part of the holiday is a pre-tour stopover, there won't be anyone so yes finding your way to the hotel is down to you, however there will be a Tour Manager for the main tour of course and New Zealand.

I hope this helps, anything else, please just ask,

Kindest,

Ben

Hi Cindy, Thanks for the reply, cannot think of anything at present. Just wanted to know if it was the same Tour manager that did Australia or was totally different person for New Zealand.

Will get in touch if I think of anything regarding New Zealand.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your reply. Was taken back abit with only 5 of us doing the holiday. When I asked earlier in the year I was told by Olly that 10 were booked for the Singapore leg, 29 were on Australia only and 13 would be on the New Zealand leg.

Have a lot pulled out then?

Regards

Eric.

Sorry to contradict, but my understanding is that a representative from a local agent meets you at Singapore airport and takes you to the hotel, offers some excursions and then escorts you back to the airport.
At Singapore for the flight to Perth, the TM for the Oz tour will be arriving on the same flight with the majority of the guests, it is a very quick turn around for those going to Perth - so look out for the TM as s/he might not find you, but the whole Oz tour group will arrive together at Perth airport and meet up to go together to the Perth hotel.
You will have a different TM for the NZ tour - this TM flies out with those just doing NZ, as a stop-over in Hong Kong is part of the tour on the way out.

They are both great tours (Iknow, I've been the TM for both several times).
I'm sure you will enjoy the adventure.
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for the input and information, much appreciated.

Ben was wrong, I phoned JY today and they confirmed what you said. This was before I read your reply.

Will take your note regarding to the short turn around in Singapore of the Tour manager when they are coming through from the UK, otherwise will see them all in Perth,

Regards

Eric

Hi Sarah, thanks for your reply - I hope to do the Australia and NZ tours in a couple of years and I would be reluctant to do the add-ons if we were there unaccompanied. I would be surprised if JY/Travelsphere would do this to their clients so I am reassured that there is a local rep on hand to organise excursions etc.
Best wishes
Bob

PS Eric - I hope you have a brilliant holiday!
