I am on the China tour May 23rd - Olly another question for you -are there any priscription medecines you are not allowed to take into China.

Hello
You should be OK taking prescription medicines to China. You should take them in your hand luggage in their original packaging, along with a doctor's note or the prescription if possible.
You may want to email or call the Chinese Embassy to be 100% sure, as I have read that certain 'addictive' medicines are not permitted - eg morphine or codeine based. The website is:
