Hi Mick

Last month when I made a payment I was told there are 30 bookings for October already. Can't find anyone on here though apart from yourself.

Not long now.

Hi Paul,
Same here, thought I'd post again see if any response.
Think I'll drive down and get a hotel/park deal the night before, just get best deal I can. Doesn't really matter if hotel near other terminals because transfers are free on the heathrow express.

RE: Route 66 - October
Well I was down at Heathrow over Easter weekend with my nephew on a plane spotting weekend. We stayed at the new premier inn close to terminal 5 and I'm almost certain to be staying overnight there before our trip. I'm not sure if they do the park and stay deals but there are so many hotels that do.

Look forward to meeting you in October.

I'll just get the best deal I can, get discount through my AA membership, every time i do the hotel/park thing end up somewhere different but I'll check the prem inn.

Will look forward to meeting, if not night before in the lounge prior to the flight.

How are you getting to heathrow ?

RE: Route 66 - October
I was thinking about driving down. Then thought about the train down. Then I thought I'd be very tired and wanted to get home as quick as possible so opted to fly instead.

I'm easy with which hotel to stay in the night before. Would be nice to meet up with fellow travellers the night before if possible. Pity we can't find anymore going on our trip in this community.

Paul,
I've down two america trips witn JY and usually 3 or 4 online so it a bit unusual there is just the two of us, still we'll meet them all in the lounge.
Prob book my hotel towards end of May and will let you know where, it'll be on the free bus route so there will be a good chance we can arrange a meet up.

RE: Route 66 - October
Paul,
I've drove twice before after visiting America, often do the train (but not if it involves sundays as there not reliable). The drive can be tiring but plenty of service stations along the M1, usually end up stopping 3 or 4 times.

Another question, Do you like Blues music ?
Reason I do and will be going to one on the nights in Chicago if you want to tag along, don't worry i know the way Chicago is my favorite city ben 9 times, have actually stayed at the Palmer House Hilton once a few years back.

RE: Route 66 - October
Hi Mick

I like all sorts of music and especially like live music. Normally it doesn't matter what kind of music providing its not something like black sabbath.

I'd love to tag along in Chicago. Maybe we could persuade a few others to come as well. Make a good night of it..
