Lisa,TM - Italy's Cilento Coast - May/June 2012
Hello Everyone,

I would like to introduce myself as your Tour Mgr for several departure dates in May and June on this fab holiday. Beautiful seaside and scenery, lovely hotel, Greek ruins, good food - it's a holiday that's both fun and relaxing...

Am always happy to answer any questions you may have - post them here and I'll respond as soon as I am able to.

A few tips:
No kettles in the hotel, so bring a small one if you like your early morning tea/coffee.
Pack something to keep you warm in the evenings - it can still be cool in May and early June - hotel has an "open plan".
Comfortable walking shoes/sandals will be appreciated a few days.
Of course, you'll want a bathing costume!

I look forward to meeting you all later this spring!

All the best, Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Nice to hear from you. I am going to Cilento Coast 13th May. I have never been to Italy before. Glad to hear it cools down in the evening. Are the days very hot in May?

I'll be getting an early morning flight from Northern Ireland so look forward to meeting you at the airport.

Regards,

Janice

Hi Fiona,

I will be on this tour from June 10 - 30, so I will be your TM unless there you are there the first week! Yes, it's a lovely holiday - so glad you like Italy enough to return 3 times... I live in northern Italy and love it here - all the regions are so different, there really is something for everyone!
Look forward to meeting you in June
Kind regards,
Lisa

Hi Janice,

With the crazy weather changes the last few years (everywhere!) I hesitate... but typically the highs are 20-23°C and the lows around
11-14°C. Of course, these could vary a bit, but if you pack a few things that are "layers" and a wrap, jumper, etc to use in the evenings at the hotel, I think you'll be fine. Maybe a light jacket/windcheater or waterproof.

How fun that it's your first time in Italy! I am sure you'll enjoy this "introduction". I live in Italy and love it here - if you have any other questions, just let me know.

All the best and see you in May,
Lisa

Hello Lisa, nice to 'meet' you. I am doing this tour on 13 May. My first JY holiday. You have already answered one of my questions...a kettle in the room! Can you tell me if there are any catering facilities in the rooms ie cups, cutlery etc. I love my morning cuppa so i will bring my own if need be. Looking forward to meeting you.
Regards
Jean

Hi Pam,

First holiday on your own - exciting! Everyone is nervous in the beginning, but I think you'll find the butterflies all go away once you meet your fellow travellers...
Average temps along the Cilento Coast in June are: highs 25-28°C and lows 1417°C, of course these are "averages"...
Just tuck a pashmina/wrap or light jacket in your case - if there is an evening sea breeze it's nice to have something to put over your shoulders.
Look forward to meeting you in June!
Kind regards,
Lisa

Hi Jean,

Nice to "meet" you as well. Cups and cutlery probably won't be available in the room, but I find that requesting the use of a cup/spoon from the hotel bar is usually not a problem if you don't wish to pack one. I would say it's more important to bring those little "creamers" from the supermarket that travel well if you like milk in your cuppa!

BTW, forgot to mention that insect repellent is not a bad idea if you are one of those "sweet ones" that always get bitten. It's not any worse here than anywhere else around the Med, just thought of it...

Look forward to meeting you - welcome to Just You!
Kind regards,
Lisa
