Hi Pat,

I am doing this trip 13th May too, really looking forward to it. See you at the airport!

janice

Hi Janice,

Apologies for the late reply... busy season. As I live in Italy, I won't be flying with the group.. but I will meet up with you at the airport in Naples!

Not long now... weather forecasts look good - let's hope they know what they're about!

All the best,
Lisa

Hello Everyone,

I would like to introduce myself as your Tour Mgr for several departure dates in May and June on this fab holiday. Beautiful seaside and scenery, lovely hotel, Greek ruins, good food - it's a holiday that's both fun and relaxing...

Am always happy to answer any questions you may have - post them here and I'll respond as soon as I am able to.

A few tips:
No kettles in the hotel, so bring a small one if you like your early morning tea/coffee.
Pack something to keep you warm in the evenings - it can still be cool in May and early June - hotel has an "open plan".
Comfortable walking shoes/sandals will be appreciated a few days.
Of course, you'll want a bathing costume!

I look forward to meeting you all later this spring!

All the best, Lisa

Hi Lisa

Just thought I would introduce myself as this is my first time holidaying alone.... I am booked for the Cilento Coast trip on 24th June, very excited but a bit nervous too. Thank you for the tips very useful. Look forward to meeting you in June and making lots of new friends.

Regards
Clare Smile

Hi Clare,

Yes, I hear from almost everyone that they were v. nervous the first time around.... good for you for booking the holiday! No need to worry, can see you are ready to make friends and enjoy yourself. Is it your first time in Italy?

Be on the look out for other "JY" luggage tags at the airport and put one on your hand luggage so others can identify you as well. Don't be shy - introduce yourself if you run into a fellow traveller.. they will be glad you did!

As I live in Italy and will already be in resort, I won't be flying with the group, but you'll be well looked after by one of our airport reps - they are really helpful.

Looking forward to meeting you - see you in "il bel paese"!
Kind regards,
Lisa

Hi Lisa, Never been to a hotel with its own beach before. What's the protocol, I am presuming we need our own towel to take to the beach and that the hotel towels are just for the bathroom. Is that correct? Anything else we should know about the beach area?

Hi Clare,
The hotel provides towels for the pool and the beach... some people like to pack a lightweight "pareo" - a multiple use "wrap" that can be a towel, cover-up, etc... you can find them everywhere inexpensively.
Hope this helps... the hotel's beach is lovely - I know you will enjoy your holiday..
All the best,
Lisa

Thanks Lisa. My first trip alone & have mixed feelings. Looking forward to it on one hand, but apprehensive on the other. I'm sure it will be fantastic once I get there but must admit to butterflies.

Hi Lisa
Sorry to be a bother. Do you know if there are hairdryers in the rooms? I have looked at hotels web page and do not see any mention of this.
Only 7 days to go. Yeah. can't wait now.
Thanks
Fiona

Hi Fiona,

No bother at all... this is such a good question because I forgot to mention it in my "tips" earlier. Yes, there was a hair dryer in my room - however it might not be sufficient if one has thick hair. One of those crazy contraptions that only the italians can contrive. Smile Warmish air, not much air flow - with the long "hose" - think mini hoover with reverse air action!

Best to bring a travel hairdryer if you need heat/strong air flow to style your hair. Otherwise, the baths are lovely/modern with bath gel dispensers in the shower.

It looks like you're travelling from Gatwick - so I'll see you at the airport in Naples when I meet your flight. Not long now!

Kind regards,
Lisa

Hi Fiona
I hope Lisa doesn't mind my responding to your query.
I was on this tour last month and yes there is a hairdryer in the bathroom fixed to the wall. They aren't the best so you might want to take your own anyway.
Have a great time...I did!
Jean
