India - April 2012
Can someone please help me - my doctors cannot tell me if I need anti-malarial tablets or not - I'm thinking they may be prudent given the game reserve and Ganges sections of the tour. Does anyone have a definitive answer, many thanks

Hi Lisa
It's strange that your doctors can't advise you on this. You might find this website useful - it's the Scottish NHS site: http://www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk/destinati...india.aspx Kind regards, Olly, your editor |

Does anyone have a definitive answer, many thanksHi Lisa, I have just come back from this trip and no, you do not need anti-malaria tablets. Good idea to ask for a broad spectrum anti-biotic like Ciproflaxin from your doctor though - just in case! Vital that you take, and use, anti-bacterial gel, and take Immodium and rehyrdration salts. You will have the most fantastic time of your life, this trip is awesome! Enjoy! |
