HI Marilyn
I have been on a few with just you - China, Mexico and Egypt, cant fault any of them, well looked after, great hotels, etc. My favorite has to be China; absolutely amazing.
look forward to meeting you and I have found its always a great crowd that go on these holidays. I am a young at heart 60 year old and enjoy traveling, just got back from a cruise to the Caribbean and took my daughter in law, we had a really girly holiday and enjoyed the rum punch (perhaps a little too much as don't normally drink at home, but I was celebrating my 60th birthday).
keep in touch
best regards
sue

Hello Sue,
I have been on one holiday last christmas to the French Alps with J Y and really enjoyed myself, am really looking forward to September fingers crossed that the trouble will have stopped and we can still go. I am going to Santirini in three weeks with my daughter the last holiday I had with her was September to Zanti fell on first day and had my leg in plaster for four days so hopefully this holiday will be better. I am also a young 60 year old who thinks she is much younger. Are you going from Manchester which I am. Hope to hear from you

Marilyn

HI ALL LOOKING AT THIS MESSAGE,

I WENT ON THIS HOL CHRISTMAS 05 - I CAN TELL YOU ITS SIMPLY FABULOUS - IT IS VERY TIRING, BUT THATS WHAT TOURS ARE LIKE.Sorry caps were on. The tour is still much the same route. I loved the River Kwai experience as I've got an uncle by marriage who died on the River Kwai as a prisoner of war. I found his grave up at Kanchanaburi & laid some flowers. That whole day was amazing after all the history behind it. Also the floating market in Bangkok & the rickshaw ride through the city. Also incredibly memorable was the elephant ride at Chaing Mai.

Dont worry about violence we had a police outrider fore & back & there were 36 of us. You'll have a great experience but come home knackered.
Helen

thanks Helen, made me feel better but I am sure we will be safe as it has died down and I have spoken to a couple who were in Bankok last week, they said there is some fire damage in the shopping mall but its all very quiet and not many holiday makers about, they had the hotel mostly to themselves and felt safe.

Marylyn, I live in Dorset so will be going from Heathrow so will meet you at the other end, I am so looking forward to it and I don't mind the 'gadding' about I view myself to be fit enough to go on all the trips and make the most of our time there.
chat soon
Sue

well I have chickened out of this holiday and re-booked for the South African explorer on 30th September.I am sure Thailand is safe but just in case it does escalate I didnt want to be left high and dry with not a lot of choice left. I will try Thailand next year when all died down. Really excited about Africa and cant wait for it to come around.
Thank you 'just you' for being so understanding and making it so simple to book another holiday without any fuss
Sue
