Hi,
I went on my first JY holiday this year and felt the same I think most people have some concerns. I'm not shy but fairly quiet and wondered what other types of people would be like in the group. There was a whole mix of personalities and different age ranges. And every day I would talk to different people as I wanted to get to know everyone.

People do tend to stick in some groups though, i.e the drinkers or the smokers but overall everyone was very friendly and I dont think anyone felt left out. And dont worry about not being a party animal there were plenty of people going off to bed at 9pm as the days can be very tiring. Im sure you will have a fab time. I would certainly go away again with JY!

Hi! I'm on this holiday. Last Summer was my first forray into the world of JY and I loved it o much that I'm doing two this Summer. I think most people on my first JY holiday had felt tentative and anxious before the adventure started, which I certainly did! In a group of 30 there was one person who chose not to be friendly, and that was fine. The rest of us mixed freely and had a great time. Ages ranged from 20s to 70s with most people being in their 40s and 50s. As a bloke it was nice that there were more ladies than men in the group!
