Uffizi. Info Needed ASAP
Hi Olly,

Would you be able to tell me both the date and time we will be travelling to Florence on the Tuscany Highlights trip please?
I need to book tickets to the Uffizi Gallery to avoid dissapointment when getting there due to queues etc. If you can tell me what you think the best time slot to book in for, that would be great also. Thank you.

Sara

RE: Uffizi. Info Needed ASAP
Hi Sara
I'm just waiting for an answer from a colleague. The snag is that the trip to Florence doesn't always take place on the same day of the tour. The tour manager may want to do things differently depending on factors such as the weather, public holidays opening times and so on.
I will let you know as soon as I hear.
Kind regards,
Olly, your editor

RE: Uffizi. Info Needed ASAP
Hi Sara
I've just heard that the Florence trip is likely to be on Day 6 of your holiday.
Regarding the best time to book, I would go for early afternoon.
Bear in mind that there is a possibility that the schedule for this trip might change. The best thing to do might be to book once you get to Italy.
Kind regards,
Olly, your editor

RE: Uffizi. Info Needed ASAP
Thanks for your response Olly.
I am just concerned that if I booked in advance online, the itinery may change once we get there and I will waste my money. Would I be able to get help with reserving the tickets once I get there? Possibly by the guide maybe.

Thanks, Sara

RE: Uffizi. Info Needed ASAP
Hi Sara
It is a bit of a conundrum. If I were you I would have a chat with the Tour Manager at the first opportunity to confirm the date and time to book.
If you don't have a laptop or smartphone, the hotel may have a computer you can use. If not, I'm sure you will come across an internet cafe during the week. Bear in mind you might need a printer too - I'm not sure how the Uffizi manages its online bookings..
You can buy tickets on the official website, so keep a note of this url (or just Google it)

RE: Uffizi. Info Needed ASAP
I do know that when I went to Tuscany in May no one managed to get tickets, one guy was doing the tour for the second time and he did'nt get them this time either. Our rep did have a laptop with him, so let's hope your rep does and can sort you out.

RE: Uffizi. Info Needed ASAP
Hi Sara
Not many of our tour managers use the Community at the moment so Jonathan may not have seen your message. But I'm sure he will be able to advise you on the practicalities when you get to Italy.
Kind regards,
Olly, your editor
