RE: Texas and New Orleans 13th Sept 2012
Hi,

I am very interested in this trip next year but couldn't find any information on the cost of the excursions particularly:

1. NASA
2. Ranch experience
3. Dinner on paddle steamer

I would be grateful for any information

Many thanks

RE: Texas and New Orleans 6th Oct
HI Tamsin.
YES. I did all the excursions on our trip and enjoyed them all. But looking at the itinerary for the next texas trip i noticed that it is different, some that were included are now optional. Our trip cost £2215 + optional excursion of £22 for the Rodeo, £30 for the swamp trip and £68 for the Ranch trip.
To answer your question were they worth it, Swamp tour YES, silver spur Ranch YES, the lady's all left with the hot's for a cowboy named Robert.
Now the Rodeo, it was good but you do not get the rodeo dinner, and paying J.U. £22 ($33) for tickets that you can buy in the afternoon for $15 left a bad feeling towards our tour guide at the start of the tour.
Which i think is just a big mistake by J.U.
Our tour guide did a excellent job.

Regards
Robert

Hi Robert
I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday.
I just want to explain the cost difference between booking through us and making your own arrangements for the rodeo. The extra money covers factors such as transport to the stadium (and petrol), the driver's fee, the tour manager's fee and our administration costs back at head office.
However, I have passed your comments on and been told by a colleague that we will try to find a way of reducing the price in future.
Kind regards,
Olly, your editor

Hi Olly - perhaps you could also pass on the fact that the bus was totally unacceptable (it leaked, had no suspension etc) as the tour was over 1000 miles I would have expected something better from Just You.
I have already put this in writing to the Customer Care Team, with a request for compensation.

Best wishes
