I definatley HAD the Yellow fever jab, diptheria, tetanus and combined Hepatitas A and Thyphoid as well as the malerone maleria tablets.that is what my doctors recommended. Not sure if it is the same but when I went you had two cases / bags..one like a soft sided sports bag with all the STUFF for the safari, the other case had all the STUFF for the 2nd hotel, this does not go to the 1st hotel goes to the 2nd hotel and MUST be locked when you leave it at the airport.If that helps you at all.

I took Kenya Schillings (think thats what there called!!) which worked well for me. In some of the markets the LADS like you to pay in british sterling or USA dollars as I think they can get a good exchange rate. but just stick with the local currancy you will be fine. I did take my card but did'nt use it. I only came back home with about £15.00 in Kenya money and I did not have any problem changing the money back to sterling with my local bank where I got the money from.

In 2nd hotel I did only the half day tour to the town, TBH I did not think it was worth the money as it was boiling hot (I know thats not something to moan about!!!), and the beggars really did get to me, I found it all quite scary in my own way, so in the end I just sat on the coach/bus..my choice others got on and off in the heat etc no problem.

I do know some people did the dolphin??day it was very long day but they said it was worth it for what they saw and did. TBH I was very happy by the pool, and having a massage and manicure !!!

Really good holiday overall.

Hi Martin,

We're gradually increasing our group for this trip, not long now till we all meet up! Regarding the injections, I contacted my GP surgery and as I've previously had all the other injections that Cindy has mentioned, they said I only needed Yellow Fever jab & malaria tablets. I would certainly check again if I was you. The nurse also suggested the Malarone Malaria tablets as they are less liable to have side effects. More expensive but supposedly worth it!

Malarone did seem the most choice on my tour. only 1 lady suffered with dizzyness..I had NO problems with any form of side effects.
