I am on the verge of booking for Vietnam in October 2011. Has anyone been? Is anyone going? My first JY holiday, having been widowed earlier this year. I am 54 and looking for an exciting experience on a new continent

I am going on this trip. It is my fifth singles holiday.

I am sorry to hear that you are recently widowed. It took me 2 years after my wife died to pluck up the courage to go on my first holiday on my own but I have really enjoyed all my trips. Everyone I have met on these holidays has been really friendly. All you have to do is get yourself to Heathrow and after that you will be well looked after by the tour manager and your fellow travellers who look after each other.

I did post a similar reply on your earlier post. You probably missed it because it has dropped down the list. There are also other replies on this post.

I will be staying at The Park Inn the night before the flight.
