Your tour manager will be Harry Wilson.
The temperature is likely to be warm to hot and fairly dry so I would pack for nice weather. A lightweight waterproof is always a good idea too.

There seems to be a difference of opinion in relation to what money to take, one is to take Yuan, no travellers cheques and cards, others say take a small amount of Yuan as there are atm's in the hotels and the exchange rate is better? I must admit to slight confusion. What do you suggest? Are debit cards better that credit cards, as there is usually a surcharge.

Hi Helen
Personally I would just take plenty of Yuan in cash plus my debit and credit cards. You are allowed to take up to 6,000 yuan in cash - which is about £550 - probably more than you will need as all your meals are included.
If you need more, you should be able to find an ATM to withdraw more cash with your cards. If you are thinking of using your cards, let you bank know about your plans before you go. They will also be able to advise you of any charges you might incur.
I wouldn't use travellers' cheques because they can be a nuisance to change but some people appreciate the security of having them.
Above all, I would say that you should take money in whatever form you are most comfortable with.
