Canadian Rockies and Vancouver
Hello Sue

I am booked on the Canadian Rockies and Vancouver tour for 20th May. You sent a message that you will already be in Calgary awaiting our arrival. As we have also not got the facilities of the executive lounge so cannot meet the others beforehand I have posted a message to two other travellers on the forum about meeting in one of the bars/restaurant at Terminal 5. But being my first time travelling with Just You, when I get to the airport, do I just go ahead and check-in and will our group have been allocated seats together or will we only meet when we find you at Calgary?

Thanks Karen Gilpin

Karen

I have travelled with JY many times, and not always with a VIP Lounge before hand so then sometimes things are a little strange untill you land and then meet the rep and your fellow travellers when you group up at the destination. Don't panic it will all work out. JY do try and get seats in a set area on the plane but this is not set in stone, if I were you I would hang around the airline check in place there will be a JY rep to see your checked in and perhaps look at the luggage labels to go through with someone else. Have a great holiday.

Cindy

Hi Karen, sorry for the delay in replying. As Cindy said in her message above, just go ahead and check-in at T5, but keep an eye out for our airport rep who is there to assist. You'll find that most people put a Just You tag on their hand luggage and that way you can spot each other at check-in and also at the departure gate. So I'm sure you'll pal up with others as you travel with no trouble at all. I'll be waiting for you all as you come through into the arrivals area - waving my Just You clipboard! Then it's straight onto the coach and we'll be in Banff in no time, ready for a fabulous holiday. I'm in Kamloops now on day 6 of the same tour. So far we've had glorious sunshine, snowstorms on the Columbia Icefield (and a flurry while we were rafting in Jasper!) and now the forecast is for sun and 20c while we're in Vancouver. I'm sure we'll have an equally good time on our tour on 20th May. all the best till then, Sue Davies

Karen,

When I travelled to the the USA last year most of our JY group were seated close together on the plane. We didn't meet our JY tour manager until we landed in San Francisco but that wasn't a problem.

See you on Sunday 20th May.

Hi Clive & Caroline
I've done a little more research and it appears there are two Wetherspoon pubs at Terminal 5. The Crown Rivers and Wetherspoon Express. Any preferences? Both are listed as "after security" so must be in the main departure area.

Clive, yes I am on the 501 coach from Torquay that leaves at 7.10. I've also noticed that the connecting coach from T1 to T5 is about an hours wait and I vaguely remember when I flew from there over 5 years ago that I caught a connecting train that took you straight through really quickly so it might be easier to do that rather than wait.

See you on Sunday

Karen
