RE: China
I did this tour last year with Yangtze add on. The amount of money to take is really dependent on how much use you make of the many opportunites to buy souvenirs. There are some very beautiful things - silk, cloisonne, paintings, etc. Also more most merchandise. Just be aware that drinks in hotel bars are priced at 4 star European hotel prices. However, all meals and entry for visits is included so you don't need cash for that.
Hope this is of some help.

early messages mentioned about £200 in clean notes to change, i believe there are quite a few atm's around plus credit card for cruise as its cashless. i have booked for april 25th with cruise the rough guide mentions atm on the right as you leave customs at airport.

Hi

Thanks for that. I was only planning to buy incidentals like postcards and the odd drink so I won't take too much.

Hiya

I've booked for the 5th Sept with the Yangzte add on, I know this probably sounds daft but any pointers on what the dress code is for the cruise and do you only pay for drinks on board?

Hi Michael
I am also on the China trip 25 April. I believe that there are more than 30 in the group. Looking forward to it.
