RE: Australia
Long way for a first holiday! I have booked this also - my eighth JY holiday. I have also booked the Hong Kong add-on.
I have found all my JY holidays to be great with excellent tour managers and friendly groups that mix well. I have never experienced more than very minor problems which are quickly sorted. I am really looking forward to this very different experience with the Great Barrier Reef being the highlight. See you in the outback. |

RE: Australia
Carol
I went to Aus with JY almost a year ago (plus Singapore stopover on the way out). I also stayed on afterwards to visit friends, spend some time exploring on my own, Ashes cricket etc. It's a really fantastic country, very friendly outgoing people, and you'll have an amazing time. There are some quite long days and early starts, but there's so much to see and do that's the only way to fit it all in. There are also some more relaxed days (or half days) to give you time to relax around a pool, or do whatever you want. It can also get pretty warm, but it sure beats an English winter ! Sarah (Wrightson ?), was our Tour manager, and she was excellent (you know where to send the cheque to Sarah if you see this......), but I'm sure that who ever you get as Tour manager will do a great job. Everyone is nervous about their first time, but you're all in the same boat, so you'll soon get over any apprehension. If you want to ask me any questions directly, that's fine, and I'm sure that Olly will pass on my email address. Have a wonderful time. Stuart |

RE: Australia
Got back from 21 day Australia trip on 1st November - my first JY holiday. All I can say is it was amzing and exceeded any expectations I had. We too had Sarah as a tour manager and she was great - she really looked after us and made sure we had all the details and any support we needed.
Australia was fabulaous with so much to do - yes there are some early starts (03:30 in Cairns comes to mind) but it is well worth every moment with so many highligts - Sydney bridge climb, Ulura at sunset and sunrise, scubdoo diving on the Great Barrier Reef, a helicopter filght over the outback and just about everything else. The group was great and everybody was very friendly and supportive so much that I loved the experience and have booked for China days in 2012. My overall advice - go and enjoy the hoilday and I'm sure you're travelling companions will be great. Go andd enjoy it - I . . Highli |
