The superb Hotel Barcelo Punta Umbria, built in old Andalucian style, is situated by the beach, just a short drive from the centre of Punta Umbria. Set on a peninsula with the river and estuary on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other, the resort has spectacular long, white sandy beaches and is backed by pine forests. The town has a small harbour and a good selection of shops, making it the perfect place for a leisurely stroll in the warm Andalucian sunshine.

Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Faro, just across the border in Portugal. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a seven night stay. Enjoy a welcome cocktail at the hotel.
DAYS 2 TO 7 Punta Umbria

The Columbus Trail - On this half day tour we explore some of the main sites connected with Christopher Columbus, including the Harbour of the Caravels, with its full-size replicas of the vessels that made the voyage to the New World in 1492, and also La Rabida Monastery, where Columbus took refuge after his failed attempt to secure funding from Henry VIII.
Tavira - A half day tour heading over the border into Portugal to visit Tavira, one of the most unspoilt towns along the Algarve.
Seville - A full day tour to this beautiful city, with such sights as the Expo 92 site, the Golden Tower, the Giralda and the Gothic cathedral. In the afternoon there will be free time to wander through the narrow streets or sample the tasty snacks in a traditional tapas bar.
Huelva Shopping - A half day excursion to nearby Huelva, with plenty of opportunities for shopping.
Enjoy a farewell get-together on your final evening.
DAY 8 Faro/UK
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
