Your Accommodation

Zacchera Hotels (4-star) – Stresa or Baveno, 7 nights
You will stay at one of these excellent 4-star hotels situated in either Stresa or Baveno on the western shore of the lake. Close to the lake, hotel facilities include restaurants, bars and swimming pools alongside guest rooms with satellite TV, telephone and air-conditioning. Lake view rooms are available – please see supplements.

Please note: details of your hotel will be advised in your final documentation, which will arrive approximately two weeks before departure.

Your Itinerary

DAY 1 UK/Milan
Meet your travelling companions at the airport prior to your scheduled flight to Milan. On arrival we will transfer to our hotel in Baveno for a seven night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink before dinner this evening.

DAY 2 Borromean Islands
Today we have a fabulous introduction to Lake Maggiore on our included boat trip to the Borromean Islands. We will visit Isola Madre first, famous for its beautiful gardens. We then head to Isola dei Pescatori, where there will be free time to relax and enjoy lunch (not included). In the afternoon, we journey to Isola Bella with its palace and terraced gardens, before returning to the hotel.

DAYS 3 TO 5 Lake Maggiore
You are free to relax on the shores of Lake Maggiore, or enjoy our optional excursions:

Lake Orta - Join our optional half day visit picturesque Lake Orta, situated in the foothills of the Alps. We also include a stop at the popular outdoor market at Omegna.

Milan - Spend a full day in Milan, Italy’s capital of style and fashion, with a guided city tour of the main sights including the Sforzesco Castle, the shopping Gallerie and the famous Duomo.

Locarno - Our optional full day excursion features a superb 90 minute scenic train ride on the Centovalli Railway across ‘a hundred valleys’, through remote hillside villages and over high bridges to Locarno. We return by ferry boat.

DAYS 6 & 7 Lake Maggiore
The next two days are free for you to relax or explore at your own pace. Enjoy a farewell gettogether on the evening of Day 7.

DAY 8 Milan/UK
Transfer to Milan for your return flight back to the UK.
