Your accommodation
The MS Infante D. Henrique has a lounge, dining room, large sun deck and a small swimming pool. There are three grades of cabin available, situated on the main, middle and upper decks. All cabins feature private facilities, radio, TV, hairdryer and safe. Please note: the cruise company may use a sister ship such as the MS Ferdinand Magellan on certain departures. Facilities on board are identical to MS Infante D. Henrique.
Your itinerary
Day 1: UK/Oporto
Meet your fellow travellers at the airport and depart on your flight to Oporto. On arrival transfer to your river cruiser, the MS Infante D. Henrique. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner on board. There’s an optional evening tour of Oporto.

Day 2: Oporto
This morning join our optional tour of Oporto - the home of port wine. After a sightseeing tour, it’s on to Vila Nova de Gaia, for a tasting at a wine cellar. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner is followed by dancing and folk music.

Day 3: Oporto & Regua
Morning at leisure in Oporto or join our optional excursion to Braga. This afternoon we cruise through the Douro Valley and the Crestuma and Carapatello locks to the town of Regua.

Day 4: Barca d’Alva
This morning you are free to relax or join our optional excursion to Vila Real. Enjoy the gardens of Solar de Mateus and rejoin the ship in Pinhão. Sail by steep, terraced vineyards arriving at Barca d’Alva this evening. Dinner is followed by a Flamenco show.

Day 5: Vega de Teron
At leisure or join our optional excursion to the old university city, Salamanca. Rejoin the ship for dinner and entertainment as you sail towards Vega de Teron.

Day 6: Ferradosa & Pinhão
Morning departure, returning via the Valeira and Pocinho locks to Ferradosa. From here we offer an optional Port Wine excursion. Return in time for dinner and a gala evening. Overnight in Pinhão.

Day 7: Oporto
After breakfast join our optional excursion to the medieval town of Lamego, visiting the Nossa Senhora de Remedios sanctuary and the cathedral. Return to the ship for lunch and an afternoon cruise back to Oporto. Enjoy a farewell dinner followed by a traditional show.

Day 8: Oporto/UK
Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
