You will stay in the 4-star Hotel Sierra Silvana (except 18 August departure where you will stay at the Hotel La Chiusa de Chietri near Alberobello), in the pretty resort of Selva di Fasano. Set in beautiful gardens, the hotel is spread across a number buildings in the grounds. Facilities at the hotel include a bar, terrace, restaurant and swimming pool. Day 1: UK/Bari
Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Bari. On arrival transfer to your hotel in the charming village of Selva di Fasano for a seven night stay.
Day 2: Masseria Torre Coccaro
Enjoy a delightful included lunch today at the beautiful five star Masseria Torre Coccaro. Converted from a fortified manor house, the masseria is the perfect location to sample local delicacies.

Day 3: Matera
Our included excursion today takes us to the fascinating city of Matera, famous for its Sassi stone houses. Carved directly into the rock, these cave dwellings were originally home to Turkish monks. We will enjoy a walking tour through some of the Sassi in the company of a local guide, and there will be some free time for lunch.

Day 4: Lecce
Join us today as we head to Lecce, where in the company of a local guide we discover the impressive roman amphitheatre and intricately carved Church of Santa Croce, a fine example of the town’s fantastic baroque architecture.

Day 5: Alberobello, Locorotondo & Martina Franca
Enjoy a full day spent exploring the delights of the region. There will be plenty of chance to see Trulli houses today as we visit the Valley of Itria. Trulli are only seen in this region of Italy and some of the best examples of these beehive-style houses can be found here. Our day starts in Alberobello and then we journey to Locorotondo. Our day ends in Martina Franca, an evocative town of medieval palaces, churches and balconied houses.

Day 6: Olive tasting
Join our optional half day excursion to a local olive oil producer, here you will experience first hand how the oil is produced followed by sampling the product on some fresh bruschetta.

Day 7: Ostuni
Enjoy our optional final excursion as we visit the pretty town of Ostuni. Set on three hills, it dates back to the first century AD when it was an important Greco-Roman city. Whitewashed houses lining a maze of tiny narrow streets huddle beneath the gothic cathedral, topped by domes covered in green, yellow and white tiles.

Day 8: Bari/UK
Enjoy this morning at leisure before our included lunch. We leave Selva di Fasano this afternoon for an included visit to Polignano a Mare, a picture-perfect Italian coastal town perched on the top of limestone cliffs and overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Stroll along the maze of delightful narrow streets, shops, restaurants and bars in the historic old town before we continue our journey to Bari airport for our flight back to the UK.
