Your itinerary

Day 1: UK/Larnaca

Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Larnaca. On arrival, transfer to your hotel near Kyrenia, where you will stay for the next seven nights. We will introduce you to the beautiful island of Cyprus with our two included full-day excursions after which you have the opportunity to relax in your resort or make further discoveries by joining our selection of optional excursions. Enjoy a welcome drink before dinner at your hotel this evening.

Day 2: Salamis City and Famagusta

We begin this included full-day excursion with a drive eastwards for a pleasant walk along the beach to the ancient city of Salamis. The site is home to a treasure trove of ruins, including a gymnasium with elegant colonnade and impressive statues, the Roman bath house, which still displays traces of its original mosaics, and a fine Roman amphitheatre which has been restored up to 18 rows high of its original 50 rows which would accommodate over 15,000 people who came here to watch plays and performances. After an included lunch, we visit the medieval walled town of Famagusta. Take a walk around the walls and see the 14th century St Nicholas Cathedral, the Venetian Palace, St Barnabas Monastery and the Royal Tombs.

Day 3: Karpas Peninsula (included)

On todays included excursion we will drive to Bogaz to see the Five Fingers Mountains, which run for 120km parallel to the North Cyprus coastline and burst into a riot of colour with a profusion of wild flowers during the spring. We’ll also visit the 5th century Monastery of St Andrew (entrance included) then enjoy some free time when we can take refreshments or spend time relaxing on the beach. We will return to the hotel early this evening.

Days 4 - 7: Kyrenia

Boat trip

We’ll take a relaxing scenic boat trip from Kyrenia along the coast to view a deserted ghost town from the sea. An included lunch of delicious seafood will be cooked and served on board, after which there will be plenty of time for swimming close to a beautiful beach before we return to the hotel (May-October).

Capital City

Enjoy our full-day tour of the capital of Cyprus, Nicosia, split in two by the ‘Green Line’ which divides the Turkish and Greek Cypriot communities. The old town is a picturesque combination of 16th century walls, pavement cafés and charming squares. You’ll have free time to explore the city for yourself and maybe indulge in some shopping for souvenirs to take back home. On the final evening, enjoy a farewell gettogether with your travelling companions.

Day 8: Larnaca/UK

Transfer to the airport today for your return flight back to the UK.
