Zambia
Travellers usually book holidays in Zambia for one thing only – to see the incredible Victoria Falls, which are widely regarded as the largest and most impressive waterfall in the world at 1.7km wide and 108 metres high. The first European to see the falls was the famous Dr Livingstone in 1855, and many millions have followed in his intrepid footsteps since then.
Zambia also has the Zambezi river and a number of bustling cities that are energetic, busy and very different to the wide-open spaces and rural lifestyle of the rural communities – both offer a fascinating insight into traditional and modern Africa.
