Ensure complete peace of mind...
...take out a better insurance policy!
Held at 2005 prices for 2007 – that’s a really great deal!
Our comprehensive holiday insurance package is provided for us by leading experts Holiday Extras. This great policy offers a very high level of cover for your Just You holiday. Excellent value for money and total peace of mind – that really is a great deal!
Whilst we believe that our policies represent a perfect balance between premium costs and the high level of cover provided, we do not insist that customers take out our insurance. However it is a condition of booking that you have adequate insurance if you are travelling outside the UK.
Just compare our policy – our small print’s worth reading!
Premium:
Check headline rates carefully against prices quoted
Beware low ‘lead-in’ prices which are not widely available
Cover:
Compare cover item by item
Check medical cover especially carefully
Take extra care with medical cover when visiting expensive areas such as America
Excess Levels:
Watch out for premiums, which are only cheaper because of a high excess
High excess means that many of your claims would be excluded anyway!
Stability:
We only insure our customers with major insurance companies
We choose only insurance companies with experience in holiday insurance
Help in a Crisis:
If you are insured with us:
You, or your Tour Manager, can phone our emergency number from anywhere in the world
Our offices are manned 24 hours a day, every day of the year
Our staff are in a better position to provide assistance
We also provide a direct-dial number, which will connect you to an organisation who will provide expert advice and guidance
Because we have worked with you or your Tour Manager to take the necessary action, we can provide you with support for your claim and help you in your negotiations with the insurance company
In order to have the full benefit of your policy please remember that you must keep to the following conditions.
Pre-existing medical conditions
If you have:
ever had any respiratory condition (relating to the lungs or breathing), heart condition, stroke or cancer for which you have ever received treatment (treatment includes surgery, tests or investigations by a doctor, consultant or specialist, and prescribed drugs or medication); or
had any medical condition within the last 12 months for which you have received surgery, in-patient treatment or investigations in a hospital or clinic, or for which you are taking prescribed medication
you will not be covered for medical and other expenses (including hospital benefit), loss of deposit, cancellation or curtailment, personal accident, or personal liability
However, you can call the medical helpline on 0845 345 8104 or screen on-line at
www.screeningmadesimple.com/TRS05. They may agree to provide cover, but it must be confirmed in writing.
Waiting lists and tests
If you are on a waiting list for, or know that you need surgery, in-patient treatment or tests at a hospital, clinic or nursing home you will not be covered under the following sections of the policy for any claims arising from that need: medical and other expenses (including hospital benefit), loss of deposit, cancellation or curtailment, personal accident, or personal liability.
If your treatment is completed, or if you received the results of tests after we have issued your policy but before your trip starts, you should call the medical helpline to see if cover can be provided.
Important conditions
This insurance will not cover you in the following circumstances.
If at the time of taking the policy out you:
have a terminal illness
have not been permanently living in the UK for at least the last 12 months;
Or if at any time you:
are travelling to get medical treatment abroad
are expecting to give birth before you arrive home or within eight weeks of arriving home
are not registered with a UK doctor;
are taking a one-way trip
If you are accepted for cover you may have to pay an extra premium
NOTE - You have 14 days from the date of issue to return the policy for a full refund, so if you need to call medical screening you should do so as soon as possible.
If you are not insured with us:
We may not be able to arrange any treatment or assistance until you have contacted your insurance company’s emergency number
We know from experience that many of these numbers are not manned overnight or at weekends
In accordance with the ‘General Business Code of Practice’ we are pleased to show below the most important features of our policy. Full information will be sent with your policy document. You then have a 14 day ‘cooling off ’ period. During that time you may return the documents and have a full refund of your premiums if you are dissatisfied with the cover it provides.
Avoid the Excess for £6
The policy excesses are applied per person and for each separate part of any claim. These excesses can quickly mount up to become a significant sum. If you add just £6 per person to the premiums shown, you will avoid any excesses being applied.
